    if Girardi teaches him to how to avoid the "tag"....maybe he'll squeeze out a few extra yards from sliding. :smile:

    Hopefully some of that championship blood rubbed off too.

    Seriously though, I'm glad they did this. I cringe whenever I see Sanchez start running, and I almost crapped my drawers on Sunday when Sanchez clutched his knee.

    lol - thought this was great but also very smart. The guy obviously has an issue sliding and needs some help. A QB not sliding is asking to get killed on the field

    Yeah..a 1st and goal bootleg to the left....topped off with a slide into the endzone with no defenders around.


    I would stand up and applaud....especially when Sanchez walks back to the sidleline and tips his helmet to the crowd.

    Actually....No he couldn't gain extra yards from avoiding the tag.

    You are ruled down as soon as you start your slide, no matter how pretty or how far you go.

    And how is it dumb to teach players properly how to slide? One day your going to thank god that Giradi came and taught him how to slide, I honestly dont want to see him pull a McNabb and tear his ACL trying to run away from defenders when he could easily slide and protect himself

    this sounds like a great move by rex, hopefully it pays off.

    sanchez really needs to learn how to dive.
