Now that they have had a full season how would you grade our picks from the previous years Draft? When I gave a grade it was a D and I'm still stuck at giving them a D. Not much contribution this year besides Connor. Mcknight started the year off out of shape and throwing up to finish the year doing okay on Specials and running good against the bills.

Maybe once Kyle Wilson gets a grasp for the game he will be a good serviceable corner but he ended the season with 0 ints 1 or 2 Pass Deflections. Ducasse is a raw talent and is a project. So overall there was no immediate Impact. Any how give your grades after its is all said and done. I'm sure next year the grades will be different .

Still to early to grade it but if you had to do it now a D is fair. I do think our rookies finished the year out strong in the limited roles they were involved in though so thats a good sign for the future. I would expect that grade to be much better at the end of next season.

None of our draft picks had any impact whatsoever on the 2010 season. Not saying it was a bust, as I think Conner and Wilson will become studs, but they didn't really help.

OP thought Russell could be Manningesque. He doesn't get to grade anyone.

    Today's word is depth.

Incomplete/Yet to be determined are the only reasonable answers...

We needed a blocker to get LT into the endzone. And a corner to catch that INT that hit him in this face. This weeks word is disappointment.

LT should have jumped, and Greene should have got that carry. And Revis should have caught his INT. But you know what im getting at.

    Good point.

On this team, immediate contribution was not necessary, so blaming rookies for not starting over guys like Ly and cromartie is stupid.

I'll grade them when I see them play regularly.

If you're grading the Jets' 2010 draft right now, you can't justify anything better than a D. You could even say that it deserves an F as the entire draft class was inactive for most of the season. At best, we should hope that 1) McKnight works hard in the offseason and becomes the next Leon Washington, 2) DuCasse continues to learn and eventually fills Woody's spot at RT and 3) Wilson shows us a LOT more than he did in his rookie campaign.

If all of the above come true next year - which is certainly possible - the draft grade goes from a D to at least a B.

How can you grade 4 guys who barely played on a team that went to the afc championship game?

I do believe that Connor and Mcknight are going to be a a big part of the future of this offense.

Vlad was a project that I'm hoping will eventually replace Woody at right tackle. The CBA nonsense may really screw up his development.

The Jets really did a poor job with Kyle Wilson this year. To start a rookie from day one in a heavy blitzing system and move him around from outside to inside was crazy. That week 1 game against the Ravens was just not fair. He had to cover Heap, Mason and TJ one on one with zero coverage at times. We know he has the skill it's just a question of him getting his confidence back and the Jets putting him in a situation to succeed.

conner wasnt gonna beat out richardson

mcknight wasnt gonna steal carries from greene or LT

ducasse was a project and everyone knows it

wilson was a bit of a letdown only because we know how high his ceiling is and got lucky with him falling to us. but playing nickel is far different than playing outside the numbers and alot was on his plate with the revis holdout. and he wasnt going to beat out revis or cromartie.

conner will be starting full time. and vlad may get some looks at RT. mcknights role should be increasing next year unless he shits the bed in training camp

and depending on what cro asks or if the jets expect wilson to step in we will see.

Although Wilson is a clear disappointment, it seemed like the FO was going all developmental this year instead of instant impact.

Ducasse - I don't think they had any real plans on rotating a raw OLman who had never worked in zone blocking into the rotation in a competitive year. I expect he may be starting on the strongside in 2011. I can't see Wayne Hunter as a legitimate starter for us going forward. And Woody is done.

McKnight - 3rd running back in a 2-back system. I didn't expect him to see a lot of time outside of STs, especially after seeing Hard Knocks and knowing the type of emphasis they put on STs. I did want to see more of him at PR, but we played so many close games that Rex got paranoid and called for Leonhard and Cotch to be safe most of the time.

Conner - you're not going to get many snaps at FB when you're playing behind a healthy TRich. Next season is Conner's year to shine. And he's had tutelage from an all-time great FB to get him ready.

It's hard to grade them this early when it seems like they were all developmental, outside of Wilson.

We needed a play that didn't start so deep to get into the endzone, and Wilson needed a catcher's mitt to get that fastball. Let's get off Wilson about the dropped INT. That was coming in so fast Revis wouldn't have caught it.

Its only disappointing to those who didn't know what this year's class was for - depth.

Hmmm...I'm really not sure that was the plan. Main reason I say that is because look what the Jets did right around the time they made those picks....they dumped Faneca and traded Washington. It seems pretty clear to me that they thought they had a guy that could step right in and fill Leon's shoes as well as a guy who could take Faneca's LT spot. Clearly, they were wrong on both counts as far as this year.

With Wilson, it seemed like they were looking for at worst a solid #3 CB as well as an insurance policy if Revis held out.

Wilson deserves a massive F. Zero excuse for a 1st rounder to play that poorly and inconsistently.

LT filled Leon's shoes. With Brad Smith doing his thing this was fine.
