There's a huge difference here. Though I don't love the Faneca signing, guards can be productive into their mid 30's. Corners usually crap out around age 30, and Law is no exception to the rule. Between his bad influence and toxic locker room presence and his clear regression, there's no reason whatsoever to bring him in. -X-
Ty Law will make some second tier team a fair safety. Just so long as he doesn't have to stay with a flying down the field WR. I like Ty Law's ball hawking skills, he studies the QB until he gets him down pat and then takes advantage of him. What Ty Law does does not require speed, it is intelligence and misdirection he uses to beat the QB. He will be able to make some INTs but he will get caught from behind more than less now. I don't think Ty Law is a good mentor type because he has been a Lone Ranger type of CB for so long. Also, he may very well have to change his game so that his "example" is not of much value for a Revis or a Rhodes. Ty Law at safety for somebody is a good one year contract risk. But not the NYJ, thank you very much.
For one or two years, I still think that Law is a good option, Revis and whatever CB we bring in to be oposite him, will need a mentor... I still say we should bring in Law. Not very many people believe it is safe to start the year with Elam starting, so how about this, start Law at FS...
hahah nice picture you painted....Remember that game against the Bills? In Buffalo right? couple years ago....absolutely brutal.
ty was just in the club i was at on sat nite. mur.mur 2 the borgata. he was with brian westbrook and someone else. remember when LaDanian Tomlinson shook him out of his jock strap in 05 on his way to a 4TD day against us?
