    What is Columbus day? Companies aren't on vacation so I don't care about this one bit.

    Sorry to hear that Brook but to each his or her own as Companies are not on vacation for July 4th, Presidents Day, or Labor Day or many of the others but they all count as Holidays and Columbus Day is a paid holiday for many. Every job I ever held it was a paid Holiday not to mention had Mr Columbus not made a wrong turn 500 years ago you and I would not even be having this conversation.
