Hi. i've been a Jet fan since 1964. Before the AFL-NFL merger, it was the Raiders, led by the original Darth Vader,AL DAVIS.. Since then, NO CONTEST, the hated FISH, led by the original Jaw, DON SHULA and the original "fake spiker", DAN MARINO. Unhonorable mention to A.J. Duhe. Now, for me. NO CONTEST,again. My Official Most Hated Rival: the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS, led by a reincarnated version of Darth Vader : Bill Bellichick.
As a younger Jet fan(25) without a doubt my most hated rival is the Patriots. I understand and respect the history behind the Dolphins and Raiders rivalries, but for what I've seen the past decade, its the Patriots I have to hate the most.
Miami did not begin until 68 so it was impossible to hate them in 64 Sure they are the strenght of our division whereas right now the blowholes are guppies so to get to the promise land no matter if U like it of not the road goes thru Foxboro
For me, it's been the Pats since the Parcells thing originally happened. Maybe 2000, when Parcells left, it was back to being Miami, but when NE won the SB, it switched again.
Firstly, I haven't been interested in football as long as many people on this board. I've only been following the Jets closely for 8 or 9 years. I am 24, by the way - not that late a bloomer. Second, I went to school in Boston and was surrounded by extremely annoying Patriots fans. My sophomore year, the Patriots won their first Superbowl (of their recent run). They won again my senior year. During my freshman and junior years, the Jets often weren't on TV because they sucked so bad. In conclusion, I've always considered the Patriots the primary rival.
Fan here since '69 and I agree with you 100%. I still hate the fish but not as much as the Pats. :beer:

Without a doubt. With the Super Bowls, winning 9 of the last 10 meetings, the whole Belichick saga... And admittedly the whole RedSox/Yankees rivalry also plays a factor in my view. I dislike people from Boston and the RedSox, and we all know how that rivalry is, so it transferred over to football.
Wouldn't your freshman and junior years have been 2000 and 2002? The Jets were pretty good in those seasons, winning the division in '02 with a young Chad Pennington at the helm. And in 2000 the Jets beat the Pats home and away, the last time anybody did that, I think.
My best friend is a huge Dolphins fan who called me to gloat at the end of the third quarter of the Monday Night Miracle. Needless to say we don't call each other during games anymore. I gotta say its still the Dolphins. While I hate Belibitch, I have respect for Brady. I absolutely HATE Jason Taylor. I'd like to run up behind him, sucker punch him, and then run for my life.
I HATE THE DOLPHINS. They will always be my biggest rival team, i just hate the patriot fans more then anything else.
