I love the quote “Yeah, he’s happy,’’ she said. “He’s winning. That’s all that matters.’’

    Fuck Yeah!!

They're good kids, I know from mutual friends. I hope we can keep whatever stories these are from appearing here, what's the point. Everyone can agree, Green Bay and Mississippi are very different than New York. So what. I hope this doesn't become a "make fun of the rubes fest." Favre has a hide as thick as a rhino when it comes to the media now, but at least here in Green Bay we left his kids out of the print.

Talk then turned to how ?the big guy?? unwinds after a game....

Big fucking deal. So the guy likes to hunt. Get off it.

New Yorkers are obsessed with gun control because every thug asshole on the street has access to an illegal handgun. Learn to seperate illegal guns and their use from legal guns and using them legally.

If hunting on Favre's own property is what it takes for him to clear his mind and get him ready for the next opponent, I'm all for it.

All the rest of you gun control jerkoffs need to man up and realize there's more to the United States of America than just the NY area and its mania for gun control.

I think you are missing the point.

Personally, I am not against guns.

But I lose respect for people that need to kill things with a gun and then call it a sport. Or worse yet - relaxation.

Nobody "needs" to kill things with a gun, but if you're from the south and you hunt and eat what you hunt, I don't have a problem with that. And it IS a sport in many parts of the country, as it is a necessity in many other countries.

It sounds like you've never been outside the NY metropolitan area. You need to venture out and expand your horizons before you pass judgement on what's "acceptable" or not in your world.

Peeing off the back porch is a good thing. Can't say I've been opposed to peeing off the front porch either, if the light is right.

Either way, it beats throwing interceptions.

I have lived in 12 states. I currently live in Cal? I have a brother who lives in GB as well. I understand the cultures of rural areas? Probably a lot better then you.

I completely agree with eating what you kill. When you have to.

If he was using a bow it might be a respectable sport. But here is the rub. I dont think he is using a bow and I have a hard time beleiving he is hunting for his dinner.

He probably went out back and shot Thanksgiving dinner. They have wild turkeys out in Florham Park. I went out to friends in-laws house, and almost ran over a family of them walking in the street.

I absolutely intend to keep my personal experiences to myself.

She's just a little different than most of the student body, I'll leave it at that. Plus, all experiences are from her Freshman year. God knows I did some stupid things my Freshman year.

Well, then you'd probably hate the majority of my friends and neighbors here in NE Wisconsin. Deer hunting season started over the weekend and half the adult male population vanished overnight.

For what it's worth, there's probably a lot of things that are considered normal in NY that people here would not have a lot of respect for. Lots of people (women and men) may be "mean" to deer here, but they are usually very nice to each other.

Anyway, what's going on here kinda reinforces my thought, and something Favre himself touched on in his interview with Peter King last night: if the Falcons had not drafted Favre right before the Jets picked, and Wolf brought him here when he was 22, he probably would have been out of football and forgotten long ago. NY media nad fans eat people alive at the drop of the hat, and without a doubt Brett Favre was an out-of-control mess coming out of college. He would have never survived here long enough to learn how to deal with it.
