This is a tweet from Kristian Dyer. Can't agree more.

IMAGINE THE SCANDAL IF THE #JETS HAD FLOWN FOR A BIEBER BOAT PARTY IN FLORIDA DURING THE REGULAR SEASON, LET ALONE BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS.

I just find it funny the double standard with the Jets and Giants. I get winning helps and all the championships but off the field this year has been really rough on them and the press doesn't say much. Wonder if it's an owner or management thing too.

The other thing I thought of when I heard about this was the Vikings boat party in 2005. Sorry can't post link. You can google it.

Sometimes some of the Jet stuff is warranted but some of the articles I find hard to believe are even published but I guess the tabloids want to sell papers. Looking at you Mehta

This is so true. The double standards are always there with Jets and Giants, mostly because the majority of analysts are either Giants homers or angry upset Jets fans that hate the team anyway, so either way they'd paint it as a negative and a detriment. If the Jets had a boat party and then lost in the first round of the playoffs, you'd never hear the end of how the party was actually what caused the loss and all kinds of other nonsense.

This will become a much bigger deal if the offense struggles and the Giants lose.

Actually, kind of surprised this didn't happen during the Santonio/Braylon years...

Very good point. But too bad Giants are the media darlings in New York metro area. Once they lose this Sunday, it will be awesome to witness the drama that will follow. Come on Packers. Do us a solid please.

I was going to make a crack about Manziel being there, but then I realized he actually might have been. So I Googled it and there he was. Guy's got problems.

no offense but this is what cracks me up about jets fans.....

...they care about this instead of :

    our terrible owner
    terrible GM
    terrible head coach
    terrible team talent
fact we haven't won since 1969

but hey, giants win a ring every 5 or 6 years, are in the p/o's again this year, but we're concerned about them celebrating and media bias against our poor old abused jets.

please, lets all get real and direct our anger toward Woody not anything else.

If we were going to the playoffs and it was one of the most explosive players in the NFL doing so I wouldn't be so upset.

With that being said, Odell matured a lot in forcing personal fouls against Josh Norman without retaliating and then comes back and does something silly like this.

He's the new age Terrell Owens.

If the Giants had a TV star receiver who compared a football season to a dirty diaper...

If the Giants had a QB that got his jaw broken by a teammate over a few hundred bucks...

If the Giants had a TE get caught jacking off in a Target parking lot...

If the Giants had the best corner in the league and traded him away, watched him win a SB with a division rival and then signed him back for huge happybucks only to watch him quit almost immediately...

If the Giants had a HC whose YouTube foot fetish videos got aired on national television...

If the Giants signed Ryan Fitzpatrick for 12 million dollars after watching him turn to complete shit the moment a division rival had signed him for big money years before...

If the Giants were so embarrassed about how few Lombardi trophies they had that they put a tarp over the ones of the team they shared a stadium with had won...

... they wouldn't be the Giants. They'd be the Jets.

Speaking of '69 It was well documented that Joe Namath was at a Miami Brothel on SB eve

    Plus he "guaranteed victory'

The relaxed and confident team WON

    A boat party ? lmao that's tame

Hey guys , sorry , we need to learn from Big Blue if they keep getting Championships ....our wheel needs reinventing

The meme of the media being out to get the Jets is really tired and overhyped at this point. Maybe if the Jets would stop giving the media stupid fodder there wouldn't be a reason for criticism.

And as far as comparing it to the Giants you're fighting a losing battle. The Giants generally deserve the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise - aka Josh Brown. If anyone has a gripe about fairness in this particular instance it's Cowboy fans though many of them were probably killing Romo and Witten's trip to Cabo too. It's also different when the QB is involved though.

Winning cures all!! Don't forget that and that is even more true in New York. Once the media sees losing, dysfunction and terrible play the jump on you and make the situation 100x worse.

I was watching the Inside The NFL show and Marshall said that after they got smacked by KC, he recognized that maybe the Jets weren't as good as he thought they were. That game is on record as being the game that started feuds and divided the locker room in a sense.

When the Jets finally get a coach who is serious about being the leader of men, and a QB who can actually be top 10, and when they stop embarrassing themselves on nationally televised games, then maybe they'll receive better treatment from the media.

it irrelevant, its their day off and they are grown ass men. get over it. it makes no difference who the team is stuff like this is a product of 24 hour news cycles and the pitiful state of news as we know it.

don't give it any attention, just like a troll on the message boards. jets, giants, colts, Vikings, who cares. its not football related.
