....Have a winning season? I'm a newbie, been a fan for one season, The Jets can't get rid of me that easy with there pre-season performance thus far. I'm sure we will get it together before we see the Bills! I'm sure a team has sucked pre-season and made it to the playoffs before! I'm not writing my team off!
absolutely...preseason record means nothing...win or lose it doesnt matter. but the offense is raising cause for concern. I'm having a hard time gauging where the offense is at considering we are missing 2/3 of our starting WR, and we have WFH on the field.
The biggest thing is to get out of the preseason with your roster intact. Talent evals and system implementation are important too especially if you're starting over on defense or offense with a new coach.
This was quoted from http://www.twominutewarning.com/preseason-matter.htm Which means very little but check it out. For a little more info on the numbers you can also check out... http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2006/does-nfl-preseason-matter Truthfully, we have a new OC and a new scheme WC so.... I think it might be a little difficult for us at first but trust me after the tenth or eleventh game I'll tell you how I think we'll do.
Sure is possible but these are the jets...... Although in 1992 we were 5-0 in PS which of course translated into a 4-12 gem.

I've seen contending teams lose all the preseason games, and then do very well in the regular season. The problem is, Jets 1st team is in a total shitstorm, unlike these contending teams, who would use the preseason games as an evaluating tool and experience fodder for 2nd and 3rd stringers. Say, if Sanchez and Co., along with the entire 1st D, leave the game up at 14-0, only to lose 35-34, then I would say no problem whatsoever. That is not quite the case at all.
2011 Week 1: Lions 34 - Bengals 3 Saints 24 - 49ers 3 2011 Week 2: Jets 27 - Bengals 7 2011 Week 3: Lions 34 - Patriots 10 Steelers 34 - Falcons 16 Texans 30 - 49ers 7 Jets 17 - Giants 3 2011 Week 4: Vikings 28 - Texans 0 Titans 32 - Saints 9
Thats just plain not true. The Colts with Manning seemed to go 0-4 every preseason and just played awful. Then they would go on and win 12 games. Most important part of the preseason is staying healthy. Something we have done pretty well so far knock on wood.
Be nice to see a TD in one of the pre season games ,be a cause for concern we cant create A TD in 4 games when it really doesnt matter any way .. If u go 0-4 and not a TD it aint looking too good imo  It starts getting a bit more serious in weeks 3 n 4 preseason.. Might be a new ploy by REX play complete shyte for the preseason, it cant get any worse
Besides Oline problems, the Jets are playing possum. Too bad the Oline problems are very real and very bad.
We beat the giants last year 20-3, and look who made the playoffs. People buy way too much into these early games. They mean squat.
I kinda like Rex's and Sparono's approach this season. They are seeing what they got, running "their" system for tune ups and not going "all out" on winning the preseason. Resting injured players, taking their time. This is great for the team. Fine tuning the system and staying true to the coarse and not being infuenced by the media at all. This is scientific and I love it.
Yeah, it is not about wins or losses in the preseason. The concern most Jets fans are having is watching the 1st team offensive line look so bad, injuries to most of the Wide Receivers and special teams. If those things looked good, and the Jets lost the first 2 games, no one would care.
