Yesterday was a great day to be a Jets fan, but something that stood out to me throughout the entire game.....Marcus Maye.

Im not sure if the defensive success yesterday was due to Bowles taking over the play calling, but having Marcus Maye back and healthy, really had an impact. Here are his stats:

    8 tackles (6 solo)
    INT (104 yard return)
    1/2 Sack
    1 Forced Fumble
    1 Pass Defended

Im really intrigued to see how his impact continues week after week, but he definitely helped the secondary yesterday. Him and Adams really make a great duo

He had a 104 int return?! That TD celebration must have been sick!

No doubt his absence makes a big difference in the lineup... the guy is a play maker.

Maye has been very good, but there were a lot of factors today. Missing two corners and their replacements played better than what we’ve seen from the starters, Bowles calling plays instead of KC, the pass rush getting home for more than a quarter or a half.

I like what Maye brings, but I want to see him for a few weeks before I’ll belive he’s going to be this good all year. I really hope he is though

Buster Skrine NOT having a silly PI at a crucial moment, actually no penalties yesterday, helped also.

Marcus Maye is better than Adams.

Tongue in cheek? Facetious? He didn't score. He was tackled on the 1 or 1/2 yard line.

I'm not sure that he's totally healthy or in shape. He didn't look to be running very fast on the return and looked totally gassed at the end of the return.

Claiborne also had an amazing game...I’ve always thought he was pretty good but he was dominating out there

Mo has been pretty good and is probably going to want big money next year. Not sure we will be able to afford him and tru next year

If for whatever reason Bowles survives the year, he needs to get another DC. I don’t know why he’s basically replaced his entire staff since his first year here but he has been loyal to a fault with Kacy. Better yet, Bowles should fire Rodgers today.

Tell you what I was thinking when Maye was running up the field like he had a load of shit in his pants . . . he's running just a little bit faster than fat Sam Mills. The difference is Mills, who in comparison would have made David Harris look like Ussain Bolt, scored. Yet another Jets claim to fame. The only reason that we can laugh about this is because it didn't matter, but still, it's almost impossible to get any more Jets than that. You can't script it.

Does anyone know if that's a record yardage for a pass interception without a TD?

Funny, I was reading along all of the replies in this thread waiting for someone to make that statement. It might just be true. I hope they stay close, and we get a kind of "good cop, bad cop" scenario, where Jamaal is out front being the spokesman, and Marcus is quietly behind the scenes consistently producing. Plus the competition between the two to make highlight plays helps us big time.
