Training Camp starts Thursday. HOF game August 3, then pre season games. It occurs to me that we will probably not see Aaron Rogers leading the team on the field until regular season. So, it’s Zach Wilson’s time to shine or fail. Does the team have his back? Can he redeem himself in the eyes of the coaches, teammates, and fans? It is under heat and tremendous pressure that diamonds are made. Just do it Zach.
Oh man. You just turned me into the guy that corrected his name. Masterful. I don't know if you can correct thread titles after you post them anymore, apparently that feature was too convenient. I don't think it matters.
Your friendly mod to the rescue. On the other hand, I for one am excited to see Zach in preseason. Will you go to Canton or no?
Thanks friendly mod…now I have this bank account I’m having trouble with… Not going to Canton. Where is that anyway?
I agree, this preseason also had more buzz for me. Zach won't save his career here, but he sure can ruin it. Arrogance and poor football IQ/play side, He seems like he has a brain so I am sure he is aware of this also. Everyone playing should have his back. Any fringe guy that tries to act like G Wilson or Mims on the field in a totally meaningless game should get cut on the field and has no place in the NFL.
It's better all around if Zack starts playing to his draft position. That gives us options... and options are good.
I'm excited to see how he looks this pre-season. It would be nice if working with Rodgers & Hackett has helped him unlock something but I'm gonna need to see it first before I get too excited about his future again.
I'm excited to see how Zach Wilson can embarrass himself on Hard Knocks. I'll bet it's the meme of the summer! ROTFLMAO
do you think Hard Knocks will go into the MILF thing with Wilson? Even a quick reference or joke, come on thats what HBO is for
Zach probably will play well in preseason. But how much can you take from that. Teams don't game plan in these games going with a basic vanilla look. The starters don't play much if at all. So, Zach will look good against a bunch of players that probably won't make the team. Or at least many of them won't.
Unless Zach's comes down with the yips, he should be fine in the preseason. He always looks good when he plays against inferior competition (see his time at BYU and the 2021 preseason); the problem is his game falls apart when he's not the most athletic player on the field because the buy yourself time until a guy breaks open and then chuck it to him strategy doesn't work against NFL defensive starters.
