I'll be excited only because you want me to. Listen, I like the D and they are much improved since last year. I have to agree with the guys who post that we give up too many first downs off of third down plays. I'm not dumping, just making an observation. They have plenty of time to fix the problem. Pace and Jenkins and two physical guys I like watching. Revis is our shutdown. We just need more consistency from the Safety position and recognition out of the backfield.
Thank You. Its getting rave reviews as an awesome nickname, so I'll put my creation in my sig for all to see. He deserves the praise - no pun intended.
Funny how you think you know me so well... I dont see anything objectively? I see that you still have the "Fire Sutton" Sig up... Do you know that the Jets are ranked top 4 against the rush on the year? Only giving up 3.2 yards per carry... Cant wait to see the defensive #'s after this week...Top 3: Here we come. You do know that the Jets defense was like 3rd in sacks on opposing QB's heading into todays game against the Bills with 24 sacks in 7 games right? How many did we record today? 4 or 5? How about you grow a pair of balls...(Like you sig says) And be a man, and change your lame @$$ sig and stop worrying about the way I feel about My team. I bet your one of those guys who cant admit when your wrong in life because you know what? You've been wrong about Sutton
you got really offended over something a lot of people agree with. I don't like Sutton, and its not the run D that i'm talking about, its the general philosophy of his playcalling. But you wouldn't understand. I'm wrong about Sutton? Then why did the Jets try to fire him at the end of last year? You sir, are an idiot. I live in reality. Blow me. Don't get over offended about "Your Team"-- you're the type of football fan that justifies PSLs, because you are a embarrassment. You are JetsJoe, get over it. BTW, your Sutton love isn't very objective.
Mangini did want Ryan from the Raiders to be the D coordinator. The Raiders retained Ryan and he went on to have a nice gameplan versus us. After the halfway mark last season, Mangini had more say in the defense. The D played better the second half.
Whatever you say Mr.Negative Nancy...Your the type of fan that complains and crys like a LITTLE BITCH after a Jets loss or even after an ugly win.
We need to bring hostility like this to the stadium for the home games. It just might make the place seem like it is an actual advantage for the Jets.
no I get upset over an amazing talented team not playing to their potential. But that wasn't the case today. In the Oakland and KC games it was. You get really touchy over nothing.
Our Defense is very good, but has its weak points. Its too bad all that sunshine in tampa has rotted your brain so bad you can not tell an honest assesment from a good poster from the negative whiners. How those Rays doing for ya?
if the Jets play better than they did today, it may not be out of reach is the Jets-Titans game the trap game for TEN??? hmmmmmm
Not too many posters were as optimistic about the defense going into the season as I was. I just wish the pass defense clamped down more on the short passes, and I would be totally pleased.
Once we traded for Kris Jenkins, signed Calvin Pace, drafted Gholston and moved Bryan Thomas back to his breakout position of 2006...I was pumped up like never before for this Jets defense here in 2008! I had some questions such as...Who would play the #2 CB position opposite Darrell Revis and I now know...Dwight Lowery baby! I knew we would have a solid Defense, I just didn't think we would have like 28/29 sacks after 8 games...Thats crazy good. And if someone were to tell me that the Jets defense would only allow about 3.1/3.2 yards per carry against the run, I would have already ordered SB tickets here in Tampa Bay! I'm not worried about our secondary because Revis, Rhodes and Lowery will find ways to get it done, the talent is there.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and man oh man...Even without David Harris, this Jets Defense can DOMINATE the game.
