It hadn't been pointed out, and I don't know if this should be in the NFL forum, but the Jets and Giants are both playing at 1 pm. on Nov. 1 which, yep, you guessed it, is the day of our next battle with the Phins. The NFL moved the Philly-NYG game now in case Game 4 of the World Series needs to be played that night, easing the traffic burden on the city of Philly.
We hadn't played at the same time in more the 20 years or something like that, and now it's gonna happen twice within 6 weeks. Pretty odd.

Yeah it's weird, but it doesn't bother me I rarely watch giant games, but I will on sunday to see them play the Saints.

It has everything to do with Favre returning to Green Bay that week and the ridiculous TV ratings as the only 4pm game, they could careless about traffic

That's the league's excuse for moving the game, according to the story I read on sny.com.
Edit: I did not realize that game was the same day. Damn, for Week 8, there are some doozies mid-point in the season.

I bet they do care about the traffic because the Phillies and Eagles play in the same freaking complex. If the Phillies game has to happen at 7, and the Eagles still played at 4, it'd be an absolute disaster. You'd have the Eagles game letting out around the same time the Phillies game was starting. There is no way they can probably even accommodate the parking. The Walt Whitman Bridge would be a complete disaster, too.

It'll be the national game now that the Giants was moved up to 1pm, thats what I mean, it is the only watchable game that week that's for sure

Why even schedule them there in the first place if that was their only reason for doing this? Your point is a decent one and in part it is the reason, but you know the NFL wants to create a Favreapalooza that week and making that the national game that time slot moving the other good game out of its way is a huge factor in its decision process. Because honestly the traffic will still be brutal no matter what happens since their beloved Eagles are playing at the same day as a World Series game.

There's no plan for the Jets game to be moved as well that day is there? I'm in town for the game and my flight back is out of Newark at 9pm. Moving the game to 4pm would pretty much fuck me.

I think the MLB doesn't make the playoff schedule until September. The NFL schedule was released in April. If anything, this is on the MLB.
