I think yesterday we really needed a big play or stop from our defense and didnt get any. We had the huge play on the Cotchery catch. I think due to our cap situation being as good as it is we need to make a run for Adalius Thomas, I know hes a littler older but we have such a young defense all around except Kimo and Shaun Ellis a guy with experience and as big and versatile as Thomas would be a help in the running game and blitzing. I know bryan thomas has been in the league almost as long but it's not hard to say hes only really played consistenltly for two years. Rhodes almost had the big interception and Vilma almost the fumble but thats the only two times they really disrupted or really made something happen and in Vilmas case its what he didn't do.

What do you guys think of Getting Adalius Thomas

Adalius Thomas is 29 years old. Do we really want to add that kind of age at a key position when we're probably 3 years out from a realistic Super Bowl run?

I'd much rather add Lance Briggs who is 26 and have him still be prime when we're ready for primetime.

We had guys in positions to make plays all game. Barrett almost had a pick early in the game then Vilma should have had a strip sack, then Miller played great coverage down the field and almost picked it, and then Rhodes jumped a route and almost picked it. I think with a little more experience, arring Barrett, they all make those plays. All those guys are yound-except Barrett again-so with time they will become playmakers. I think we are good on the defensive side.

And add in a healthy Dyson, instead of an injured one... our secondary is fine... we need help up front... Don't be surprised to see a DT and DE picked with the first 2 picks this year, followed either by a RB or another O-Lineman

In that post all those statements were almost, I think Thomas being so big will help in the run game as he can play DE also he plays in a 3-4 Briggs does not. I think it's harder to stop a 6'3 270 blitzing OLB for a rb than most people seem to realize.
