Jets could end up with best quarterback in 2021 NFL Draft, former NFL MVP and N.J. native says. According to former NFL MVP and Super Bowl winner Joe Theismann, "Wilson is the best QB prospect of the three." “I would [take Wilson over Lawrence] as a matter of fact. ... I think Zach, obviously, I just love the way he throws the football. It is hard to teach. We have seen people learn to perfect it a little bit. He has all the skills; he has a live arm, he has a strong arm, he can put touch on it, he can gun it. He is 6′3”, he is not a small guy. He moves around with great athleticism. I think, to me, watching him play quarterback, he looks really ready.” https://www.nj.com/jets/2021/02/jet...ormer-nfl-mvp-and-super-bowl-winner-says.html My opinion is Trevor Lawrence is the best, but since he will be gone, if the Jets move on from Sam, I would be happy with Wilson.
Been in the Wilson camp for quite some time now. I just can't justify sending all of our DP's to Texas for Watson.
I know you guys will think I’m crazy, but the more I watch Wilson, the more he reminds me of a very young Aaron, size, height, shape, pocket movement and pure throwing ability. One year in the NFL system under top coaching could do wonders for him.
I don't, they thought i was crazy when i said this a long time ago. You know hw can get better than he is because hes already shown that he can improve as time goes on. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
Anyone who doesn’t advocate sending whatever’s necessary to land watson either doesn’t understand the rarity of finding an elite qb or is just certifiably insane. Watson is a top 5 qb in the league and is only 25 years old. The odds of landing a top 5 qb (which is what you need to make any kind of run at a super bowl) in the draft has to be less than 1%. You send however many first round picks they want and don’t think twice about it.
So did the Bills totally stepped on shit thru the draft, and no one else can find a QB thru the draft? or are Bills thinking of trading Josh plus a couple of ones for him? Fuck the notion of “what ever is necessary” approach, because that is the definition of insanity. You need enough to build a team around the QB. That’s why the fuck he wants out.
It took the bills 25 years to find one. It’s incredibly difficult, as jets fans should also know. I don’t think a qb at Watson’s level and age has ever been up for trade. It doesn’t happen. The jets have enough picks (thanks to multiple trades) to make the deal for Watson, still be able to draft guys, and also sign players in free agency. There is more than enough resources to build a team. You get the hardest piece first (the franchise qb) and figure the rest out later. It’s a no brainer
I'm far from being an expert but when I watch Wilson's highlight videos it's a thing of beauty. It's like looking at great artwork.
Does anyone have any tales of Zach Wilson overcoming adversity that would sway someone that isn't totally sold on the guy?
No F'n Way do I mortgage the future for DW. Yeah, he's elite and so on but, this team is NOT one QB away from the SB. The days of Herschel Walker type trades are over. Build the team first, THEN if you don't have your FQB, trade for one or go the FA route.
