As we all know the Jets currently have the longest playoff drought in the NFL - how long do you think it will take for them to get back there? Doesn't help that every other team in the AFC East looks better than the Jets right now and all have young QBs to build around - the Jets do have a relatively young team and it could come together over the next few years (though history tends to suggest otherwise).

Given how many gaps there are on the team and the lack of building blocks I would say it is at least another 3 years away and that is very dependent on Wilson developing into a decent quality QB

2022, we will continue to re-stock the roster. Zach will also finish his sophomore year with 2 years of experience under his belt after 2022 season. Realistically, I expect 2023 be the year we compete for playoffs and make it. Meantime, imho Dolphins and Bills will lose some of their players and come back to earth in 2023. I expect Pats to keep their dominance now that Mac is the guy fit for their system.

So I went with 2023. If not, that means another rebuild is on tap.

We may have our very own stadium before the next Jet Super Bowl. I went with '26. MAYBE the CS will have learned how to coach, the GM will have drafting down to a science and our FQB really turns out to be one..

On our current trajectory it feels like in two or three seasons we might get a wildcard appearance, before our roster implodes in FA.

    Playoffs?

I would be happy to just be able to look forward to watching a Jets game after week 4 and consistently playing competitive football. At this point I would be happy to not be completely dreadful. Once we reach that level maybe we can consider thinking about the possibility of playoffs.

They need to draft will this year, and sign some good free agents, and maybe by 2023 we might sniff the playoffs, or we will be dumping the current staff and players, and doing it all over again

We should have an outside chance next season and be a really good team by 2023.

Brook I think you have been hitting that Chronic too hard Jets have shit load of holes on defense: ILB,OLB, both Safeties, edge and lock down corner And then there is the offense TE, #1WR, G, LT, and they are going to probably loose Fant and Berrios as the Jets are the tightest organization on the planet as they never resign FAs. Instead they pick from Ross barrel. I admire your optimism but as 50 year fan I have seen this picture before but I hope I am wrong
