sign trent edwards? u think its worth it to sign him and pump him for info on buffalo? give him pat turners roster spot?
probably not but buffalo beat us last yr and it cant hurt to have some extra information plus its not like patrick turner is gonna see the field
 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5621888 Still, no, but Buffalo Psycho looks even worse and I didn't think that was possible.
It's a divisional road game. I won't be surprised if Patrick Turner gets cut and Edwards gets signed.
Wasn't Trent Edwards on par to be a Pro-Bowler this year due to his great stats in 1 game of the pre-season? Or according to Buffalo Physco, he was.
Why does everyone think this is such a crazy idea? Because buffalo sucks? Did you happen to notice they gave the Pats a run for their money yesterday with the QB change? This is an important game for the Jets to win, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we sign him.
what inside info could edwards know??? the bills themselves dont even know their game plan yet??? that organization has no direction AT ALL
a winless team is always dangerous, not to mention a division rival. buffalo has a lot of pride. i wouldn't take them lightly.
They have a new offense don't they? With not much film on their offense he could have a ton of valuable information.
I don't think it's a crazy idea. I just think the notion of a team signing a player who was just released by the upcoming opponent is grossly overvalued in terms of it's strategic significance. The pats signed Woodhead right after we released him, and our offense shredded their defense anyway. Then the dolphins signed Patrick Brown right after we released him. And again, our offense shredded their defense, anyway. The point is, football comes down to execution and when your players block and tackle well, your team wins football games.
