I know he's a free agent to be. Yes he's 37, but he also knows Bowles system, so a 1 year deal to help the transition might make sense, plus it would be great to see him go out a Jet. Not to mention we could use another situational pass rusher. Does anyone think there's a chance this happens?
Omg ,no way we don't need anymore guys who are one year away from retirement. There's no chance this happens we don't need a 37 year old on the d line
No thanks. We already have Babin and Pace as the grey beards we are trying to get rid of at this point. We need to really focus on getting younger there. I would rather have Pace.
What is some Jets fans obsession with over the hill, has beens? No I don't want John Abraham now. I wanted him to be a Jet for life a decade ago but the Jets FO screwed that one up as usual. PASS.
Sack exchange anyone? I mean, yeah, I am talking about Gastineau and Klecko. If Abraham the bitch has something to give, Sack exchange SURELY has more to give too.
How old was that bald headed tear jerk fuck from Miami we brought in for one 'pass rushing' season? He did ok in limited action.
If we were a young team who just needed an aging vet as a mentor, than yes. We're not, we need guys who can play hard and stick around a few years. What we really need is new blood who can challenge for starting spots. No allegiance to current players, best man starts across the board.
Concussion. On IR. Memory loss. Considered retiring. But it's the Jets, so yeah it probably could happen.
wow. You guys think.... maybe, just possibly.....we could add some offense to the team this year? That would be pretty cool, i think.
As an assistant coach? He used to be one of my favorite players but he should retire for his own health. I hope it doesn't happen to him but wouldn't be surprised if he's dealing with long term effects from all the concussions throughout his career. I'm thankful we got Mangold for him and if he desires to play one final season I wish him luck but not here with our already ancient OLBs.
Why in the world would be sign a free agent that was on the jets in 2005, now in 2015??? .. just let that marinate.
I don't understand the fascination this forum has with bringing back former Jets. First it was Braylon, then it's Revis, then Cro, now John Abraham? Hell, somebody wanted to bring back Chad Cascadden! Sign me up for the "Don't bring back any former Jets" camp. They're gone, let's replace them with someone younger and with more future potential.
