I'm glad Clemens is warming to the task, hopefully he will be our QB of the future. The ideal scenario is to have him learn the ropes behind Chad and take over when needed. With Chad you never know when that might be--it is an odd-numbered year. I'm not ready to place KC in Canton just yet, but I'm glad we appear to have a good young understudy at the QB position. It's encouraging.

I'm proud to see how clemens is coming up and making controversy. I'd rather that than a QB who didnt challege Chad. At least we know we got two good QBs.

Agreed. He's playing well, but not against the best of the best of each team he's seen.

I have quickly become enamoured with Kellen Clemens. He seems to have alot of the intangibles which are necessary to win.

Smart, Strong Arm, good leader, and if anything he has shown he is working hard to make some noise in the preseason.

This job could very easily turn into his before this season is over.

Could Mets fans root for a guy named Clemens?

One thing I've noticed about Clemens this pre-season that I didnt really expect to see from Clemens was how much the team is behind him. Watch the Jets/Giants game, and after he does the QB sneak for the TD, the whole team was celebrating with him on the sidelines, and he made sure to thank the whole offense.

Yeah I remember seeing that and thinking that was an interesting celebration for KC...Chad doesn't have the team congratulating him.

I sometimes wish Chad would go back to the days where he would be a real vocal leader with alot of swagger...remember when he used to come out of the tunnel head butting everyone.

Or his second career start against the Vikings when I think it was Chris Hovan who started to get into pennys face...Chad just pushed him in the helmet...

I realize that he probably has matured since then, but it wouldn't be so bad for him to have the swagger he once had.

I feel like the team is more attracted to Kellen because of his spunk.

more likely because of his arm. he can throw the same kind of passes guys like delhome, brady, and cutler routinely zip to a receiver. especially , if you have time to make moves and not get killed by dbs waiting forever for the ball to flaot to you.
