I predict these guys are the ones who will be our defensive and offensive playmakers. I think Rhodes will get at least 6 picks and Cotchery will get 7 or 8 td's.

I'm really excited about Cotchery finally getting a chance to be a starter.

Thats why with all this talk of a down year...this could be one hell of a interesting season.

Many players..young and old (the Sean Ellis's of the Jet world) get a new lease as far as Im concerned.

    Cotch is a perfect example.

Rhodes is fast. Cotchery is so far consistent. There was a time when he was the go to guy. (A stretch of maybe 4 games) He tends to get open easily. We have to wait and see how he does when people start covering him like a player of his caliber should be covered.

i think Rhodes will have a good season..nothing great...give him one more year to develope into pro bowl caliber...cotch on the other hand i always thought had the makings of a potentially great WR...he broke most of Holt's reords back in college...that has to translate into something in the NFL...and it looks as though he is on the right track...no more Herm...off season work ethic is great...cant wait to see his first game opposite mr. coles

I hope this isn't the kiss of death , but players who seem to do well in TC and preseason seem to have indifferent years or get injured before they can prove themselves. [IMG]

I agree. I have small expectations record wise, but I'm so pumped up to see guys like Cotch, Houston, Strait, Mangini's coaching etc.

I've been to 3 practices and so far Kerry Rhodes looks like the best player on the field...

not trying to sound like a smartass but...i told you so! :breakdance:
i was pulling for him to be our starter in the regular season but most of the guys on this board thought it would be better to start jon mcgraw ( ) or oliver celestin ( ). lets just hope kerry stays healthy because the sky is the limit for this kid.

I'm on board with these guys having break out years.

I believe Coles coming out party was his 3rd year...I see the same for Cotchery.

I always thought Rhodes had the potential to be a stud DB. That was just reinforced when I read that Brellichek and Mangini scouted him heavily with the possibility of drafting him and making him a corner. Mangini is probably coaching the hell out of this kid.
