I get it, this loss hurts. I'm frustrated as anyone...But let's take a step back and look at it...

This team went into GB, and overall looked solid. Our offense is as efficient as it's been in years. The front 7 looks absolutely dominant. And this team is going to win some games. It's frustrating to lose this one especially considering the start, and more than anything that unbelievably frustrating timeout.

But I think we have to be encouraged with this team. This is hardly SOJ. This is a team that's going to have a shot to win, week in and week out, and that I fully believe is only going to get better as the season goes on.

As frustrating as this loss is, I think we need to be encouraged with what we've got, because we've got a real physical team with an offense that can put some points up.

    On to the next one.

I could've tolerated this loss last year. But not in 2014. This team played like shit in all phases in the 2nd half.

The Front 7 played well but the back 4 got their asses royally kicked by Rodgers. The Coaching Staff went out to lunch after the 21-3 lead and never returned. The team pretty much only played 2 qtrs. Had they played 3, we would have won the game. I refuse to blame the Refs for this loss as that TD pass would have only prolonged the inevitable. That is, Rodgers was skull fckng our secondary from the start of the 3qtr on.

If this is what progress looks like, God help us. Sorry Turk, but Rodgers was only the beginning of what's to come over the next 5 weeks at least. By the time we get past our bye week, our Secondary will have a case of PTSD from all the incoming that's gonna get dropped on them. Our run defense is good, but that's not gonna be enough.

I'm gonna leave the offense out of this for now. I'm not a fan of Decker as he seems to be a bit on the soft side. More of a finesse guy. Geno needs a better line in front of him. He sure could use better play calling as well. MM is not the second coming of Bill Walsh. He proved that today in spades.

One last thing... The fcking trick plays will be the reason why we'll lose the close games to good teams. Against the Oaklands of the league, you can play that. Against the better talent, leave that shit on the sideline and either play Geno all the way or Vick. This nonsense of killing our own momentum by bringing in Vick like we're gonna fool somebody has got to stop. I know Rex doesn't know a fckn thing about offense but dammit, he's the HC and he's got a pair of eyes. Time to abandon this trick shit and get back to basics.

The problems with this team are what we all thought they were (or those of us who are realistic). Rex still has no fucking clue how to coach a team (will be great again next year when he is the DC somewhere next year, but thats his ceiling), Geno Smith has no business being on the field, and the secondary is a joke (I think its time to be honest about Milliner, like busts before him like the Roberson, Sanchez and Gholston, he is flat out terrible and needs to be off this team ASAP).

I expected to lose this game.

If you asked me to sign up for 31-24 on Friday, I'd have been like "well...that sounds about right".

Up 21-3 in the first half though...you have to find a way to hold on to that game. Yes, the refs weren't great, but we royally fucked ourselves more than anything, and it didn't help that we couldn't run the ball. If we ran the ball effectively, Rodgers doesn't get 13 straight points to end the 1st half, and doesn't go on a roll that ended up with them outscoring us 28-3 from the second qtr on (after we got up 21-3).

So, 1-1 after 2 games is about what I expected. I'm not on the ledge here. But...is just SO FUCKING JETS that we have a 4th & 6 or whatever, score a game-tying touch down after looking like hot garbage for the entire second half, only to have us blow it by calling a time out on oursevels. I mean really...what the entire fuck did we ever do to the universe that this shit keeps happening?

I know the coaching staff hates to hear "same old jets", and I'm not a darksider, but it is games like this that remind me of the days under Kotite, etc. when by about 4pm on Sunday I'd just pull the blanket back over my head and try not to cry. This was a beyond awful performance for the last 40-odd minutes of that game.

On to the next. Time to kick Chicago in the dick & get back to winning ways.

You see, it wouldn't have been so bad had the referee made a judgement call that we just didn't agree with. The fact that the referee's illegal call directly effected the outcome of the game makes it so much worse. You know, I actually think we would have lost. I would have expected GB to march down the field and kick a chip shot FG as the clock expired, but I'm not going to calm down that the referee completely fucked up because he doesn't know the rules. That shit just can't be happening in the NFL.
