very clever You really are a typical Jets fan, emotional and irrational. The season sucks, get over it...
I am not emotional or irrational and in fact I was willing to sacrifice this season on day one to give Clemens a shot. All I heard from fellow Jets fans was how ridiculous the idea was and that if they can play with the Patriots they can play with anybody. Every game that Clemens doesn't play from now on is a lost oppurtunity to prepare for next season. If Clemens isn't the guy then they should have leaked that out to the press.
I always liked "Man-Gina". You know -- That seen in Silence of the Lambs really brought the Mangina Phenomenon to the forefront. When Buffalo Bill is dressed in drag standing in front of the mirror saying, "I'd F**K me" -- then he dances back, and opens his robe to reveal . . . THE MANGINA!
I guarantee they haven't decided that Clemens isnt the future QB, he played well enough in his one start...you just cant say he isnt the "guy" for the future without giving him his fair shake. So that is out of the question. Again, he will get his shot, he will be the starter before the end of the year. Hate Mangini if you will for not starting Clemens earlier, but lets act like were 9 by making up nicknames about him. We all know the second we start winning again, all those who jumped ship will be back on Mangini's jock in no time.
I'm not completely defending Mangini...let me first make that clear. His original decision and continued persistence to force the 3-4 on a group simply not suited to play it, despite above average talent...is downright inexcusable. W/ that said anyone who didnt believe that this rebuilding job would not have serious bumps in the road, were completely kidding themselves. Many are blinded by the desperation for a franchise championship and flat out inpatience. When you go through rebuilding growing pains, no matter HOW you address things as a CS and an FO...thre are gonna be questionable moves. There are always double edged swords..all you can do is stick w/ your philosophy, bite the bullet and hope the experience yields enough lessons learned, and character to move on and get better. The second you move away from your values, and start having double standards, thats when things spiral out of control. Mangini has stayed true to his overall philosophy. He has not lost composure or gone against his book of law. We will now sink or swim w/ it.
the so-called defensive genius has the defense playing even worse than last year. so, i see him messing up both sides of the ball. he deserves it. he earned it. ______________________________________________________________________ i go by what i see. you are exactly what your record says you are.
how about: "win more than one game please" I'm not very creative, but if this is his nickname maybe he will try harder....
