seems like a couple years ago when they would get shut down by any young pitcher they were facing for the first time. except now it's just the fact that their lineup really is that bad.

at least we know that bases loaded strikeout against the Cubs last year wasn't a fluke for Wright. he is consistent.

the best part about those situations is how the guy up with 2 outs always hits the sac fly ball

Guess when Schneider comes up Castro is going to be odd man out.

The Mets just traded him to the White Sox for some AAA pitcher named Broadway. These moves always end up working out so well for the Mets.

If someone had to be the odd man out I'm not sure why it wasn't Schneider. Oh right, it's because he's yet another unproductive player with a ridiculous contract.

Ya I feel bad for Castro, I wasn't doing bad this year and I thought he always preformed better than Schneider.

The Phils just announced that Brett Myers is going to have hip surgery, and might be out for the season. Considering how poor their pitching has been this season, I wonder if they're going to go after Peavey now, and also Sheets later?

Yup, that about sums up Castro, arthritic back and all.

The pitcher we got was one of the pieces of the called of Pevey trade, somebody thinks he's worth developing.

We lose a backup who is going to be a free agent at the end of the year, and save some money on salary.

    How terrible.

Santos may be a minor league scrub, but so far this year he's won two games for us already, he's good behind the plate and he's not a black hole in the lineup.
