John Maine versus Anibal Sanchez. Marlins 3-0, Mets 2-1 coming in.

schneider and castillo are sick. throw in the pitchers spot and the mets are basically playing with 6 innings of potential offense a game.

And the new and improved bullpen fails again, with help from Reyes.

i like the new sean green about as much as i liked the old one. first real managerial gripe of the season too, sac bunting with luis castillo and the pitchers spot coming up has to be one of the worst plays in baseball.

Mets tie it up with two productive outs.

Another fail for Castillo. Amazing how he looked great in spring training, but when the real games start he stinks once again.

could've been a much bigger inning but at least they got the two. not going to complain too much about castillo's latest failure since marlon was on deck anyway.

Funny how the most you expected from Castillo was a walk. A single would have actually driven in a run, but I understand why you think that that was not a possibility.

A bunt, a bloop, a hit and good baserunning, and once again the bullpen blows it after the Mets come back. Gotta say, this season is starting off very badly.

i can't really blame the pitcher for that. some bad luck and a stupid decision to pitch to the only good hitter in the marlins lineup with a base open. jorge cantu is their cleanup hitter for fucks sake.

the important thing is that marlon anderson is still getting ABs.

Pitchers are allowed to think for themselves, and not give one of the best hitters in baseball a meatball to hit.

Marlon Anderson's last AB forever as a Met. Hooray!

Wright needs to get a big hit with a RISP for a change.

And once again he doesn't. This really feels like 2008 all over again.

murphy really looks great at the plate. he's consistently working deep counts, and not in the castillo way of not taking the bat off his shoulders the entire AB. hopefully they can find a place for him in the field where he doesn't always look like a disaster waiting to happen.

is it me or do these games against the marlins always suck? really hate when the mets play these guys.

3 rockets off lindstrom to start off the inning and nothing to show for it, then castro up there looking like he's drunk or hung over or something.
