Frankly, I'd jump on this. I think he's shown incredible potential especially deep, and is young. If the Jets can end up landing Michael Floyd I'll be beyond happy. EDIT: Here's more info. http://nfltraderumors.co/cardinals-...s-for-wr-michael-floyd-no-interest-as-of-now/ ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported on NFL Insiders Friday that the Cardinals are willing to listen to trade offers for WR Michael Floyd. Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic has confirmed this report and adds that no one has contacted the Cardinals regarding Floyd at this point in time. Arizona just exercised Floyd’s fifth-year option, which means he’s under team control through the 2016 season. He’ll make $7.320 million next year, but this figure is guaranteed for injury only and wouldn’t prevent them from working out a long-term deal that would come with a lower cap figure. Floyd, 25, had one year remaining on his four-year, $9.972 million rookie contract that includes a base salary of $1,749,750 for the 2015 season. According to OverTheCap.com, trading Floyd would free up in available cap space while creating in dead money. In 2014, Floyd appeared in all 16 games for the Cardinals and caught 47 passes for 841 yards receiving and six touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 21 receiver out of 110 qualifying players. and... According to the Arizona Republic, the Cardinals will listen if a teams calls with interest in trading for WR Michael Floyd. Interesting. Floyd is coming off a down year where he showed inconsistent hands as a pure field stretcher. A whopping 34 of his 94 targets were 20-plus yards downfield, and Floyd had a high 18.75 percent drop rate on such passes. Just last week the Cardinals were uncertain if they were going to pick up his 2016 fifth-year option. They decided to exercise it, but appear willing to deal the 25-year-old. The Cardinals are in love with John Brown and want to increase his role. Source: Kent Somers on Twitter May 1 - 4:27 PM
I'm pretty shocked by this. If he had a better QB throwing him the ball he is going to be a star. And yes Geno is better than what was throwing to Floyd after Palmer went down. Makes me wonder if there are some issues between him and the coaches/front office. I'd give up tonight's 3rd and a pick next year for this guy though. Easily.
Where does he fit though? If we're going to take a receiver, it will be in this draft. I don't think he would add much other than being an upgrade over Kerley. Also, why are the Cards willing to trade him away?
He would fit many places. Rotate on the outside, come in on the inside, be our deep threat. They are willing to trade him bc they likely don't want to pay him after this year since they owe Fitz a ton of money and just spent a crap ton on their Oline. They might also feel John Brown can slide in. They LOVE John Brown and he's a cheaper alternative. Plus they tend to use Floyd one way...Deep. They probably don't see the value vs investment. But for us, man I'd jump ALL over this one if I were Mac I'd be on the phone already.
Here's what I'd offer. Damon Harrison and 2015 3rd for Michael Floyd and 2016 5th w potential escalation to a 4th based on production.
Arizona Republic just reported it. So not sure it's not true. Just like the Titans were in love with Mettenberger and had no interest in Mariota right?

Ehhhh what year of his contract is he in? I don't want to give up any more picks in this draft. fo if he doesn't do well we waste a pick and If he does he will want to get paid through the teeth and he's been inconsistent.
Comparing trading your top receiver in his prime to passing on a potential franchise QB because of a 6th rounder in house isn't really relatable.
sure it is. it makes no difference...we're talking about teams saying 1 thing and doing another. it happens all the time.
The concept sure. But it seems like every single day we hear something about someone on the block. A vast majority of the time it doesn't unfold.
