Have seen some talk about realignment , putting the Mets and Yankees in the same division. Along with the Red Sox and Phillies . Not sure how I feel about that

Personally, I am 100% against it, but I'm an old traditionalist, who has never even liked interleague play.

I’d like to see the layout before judging it. The “Northeast” is an easy one to build out with 5 team divisions but you end up with nowhere for the Blue Jays, Nats/Orioles or Pirates to go. I’d

I’d imagine you’d be looking at more teams per division and less divisions which would be bad for the sport.

    Yankees
    Mets
    Sox
    Phillies
    Nationals or Orioles

I guess you could build a “North-ish” with the Tigers, Pirates, Blue Jays, Nats/Orioles and Twins. That division would have zero intrigue.

South would be something like the below I guess?

    Braves
    Marlins
    Rays
    Cardinals?
    Royals?

The more I typed it out, the less it really makes sense and destroys a lot of existing divisional rivalries. It would only be a cool win for that NE division.
