It is now completely obvious that these draft gurus have absolutely no real inside sources. My dog could put that Mock together if I taped his paws to this keyboard. Do these guys get paid for that crap.
I still remember rob rang touting reggie williams the next coming of jerry rice...that's ruined me for all his predictions.
Seems like alot of the sports beat writers have us taking the furguson/mangold combo, I dont really know whether to be excited we have a good line again, or be pissed because there is nothing exciting about watching an offensive line. I guess its all about wins not excitement in the long run, if they bring W's to the jets thats all that matters.
 i hear ya man... what we really want is a monster like MARIO WILLIAMS and then take Ryans or D.Williams for impact players! i guess taking 2 linemen would be real nice...so we dont get any true playmakers for now, it's only 1 draft without em...then we'd be set at O-line for 10 years:beer:
Len P at ESPN reported that NO structured Brees deal such that if necessary the could cut him after one year without taking to much of a hit. Coming draft day if they are still concerned about Brees' shoulder they could take Leinart as insurance/the future and either let Brees go after a year or trade Leinart eventually. It would be ironic if Brees left SD and ended up in a similar situation.
I was just thinking that as I was reading your post. That'd be funny. Pending on if the Saints take Leinart or not, it doesn't matter because we're gunna get Ferg Or Williams either way...
Brees has an 8 figure roster bonus due before next yr, making his deal basically 2 contracts in 1. A 1 year deal for 2006, and then the rest of the deal. It's definitely possible for the Saints to take Leinart, groom him for a year, and let Brees walk.
Oh yeah there is plenty of a way you can do this. I'm sorry, but I don't see this Williams guy being a top 5 "quality" pick. I think he'll go in the top 5, but I wouldn't be so eager to take him, especially if we plan on playing the 3-4. Kiper and others have said he wouldn't be a great fit for the 3-4.
