I happen to think the Jets will do okay this year but all considered opinion looks at the schedule and maybe picks some games that look like locks or works out the wins and losses based on stats. Lets have some considered opinion from Ganggreen on what games you think the Jets will win. I'll go first and I base this opinion on a few intangibles and certainly on the most important theory in the world- LOA- law of averages. THE JETS BEAT THE NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS WEEK 2 1. The Jets are solid in all areas of the game- we have at least 1 player who can be considered a marquee player in each phase which will improve performance. 2. The Pats are weaker than they have in long time. Brady is damaged goods and if he gets a hammering early he could regress even more. 3. Moss is going to be slower, Brady- (see 2), less production, more griping from Mossy etc Patriots aren't used to struggling- DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THIS OPINION. 4. Sanchez could be the real deal. Total speculation certainly but I was 5 when the Jets last had a QB they thought would be good enough to lead us to the promise land and this kid has an aura of confidence about him I like. 5. Jets fans for their home opener. I was there last year and came away thinking what a chance we had to beat this team. They weren't great but our play-calling was lame. I think Brian S is desperate to get it right this year and will be very aggresive in his play- calling. Jets fans remember only too well, chances missed ,and will not accept a repeat. The Jets will win this game. Write it down and call me out if I am wrong. 6. LOA. (see 5). I've seen too many games at home where the Pats have kicked our ass in recent years, our time is now for this game. Be objective please don't just say- " what are you smoking?" etc. (I know the first post will be "what are you smoking") You guys are Jets fans!
That's what most folks thought last year. I smelled it and I was right. I almost ate a bullet, too. I knew it was a harbinger of doom. And it was, am I riggggggggght.
I had picked the Jets to beat the Patsies once this year in an earlier thread. However in recent years they usually beat NE later in the season when they play them at Gillette and I think that's where they get the W again this year.
if we're eliminated from the playoffs at that point we'll definitely win and ruin our draft position.
we will beat HOUSTON, Buffalo-twice and Miami Blowfish -once. The faders will be crushed and Concy will go down. I think we will win 7 to 9.
Jets will beat the Bills in Toronto. They proved they can win there with their victory in the International Bowl in 2008. Oh wait. I guess that was Rutgers.
Week 14. I don't know who we are playing that week, but my guess is as good as anyone's at this point
0-16 & we're gonna have to sell the team to Al Davis in a WWE style take over, after the Raiders go 19 -0 cementing him as the greatest football mind in the history of the NFL
vs. The Titans 1) Last time we had played the titans, we played the the pats and won both games 2) No Albert Haynsworth, frankly no one on the Defense outside of haynsworth scares anybody. The run game will be even stronger, and without Haynsworth the titans pass rush will regress. 3) Kerry Collins will not be that good, he was decent last year but it was the first time he had started in a while. Even though they got a new weapon in Kenny Britt, I still doubt that Collins will be that productive. 4) partially relating to number 3 our D will be much more equipped to deal with the Titans run game. People forget that last year we had Eric Barton and David Bowens as our starting ILB's when we played the titans, now we will have a healthy Bart Scott and David Harris.
