florida WR's haven't translated well especially lately in the NFL, he doesnt play as fast as his 40, however he did improve each year he could easily bust..same goes for maroney playing behind the line he did, they both could be great players though, we'll have to wait about 3 years and see what they do by around the 09 season
This is why we are what we are and New England is what they are first let me say that so far I HAVE LOVED THE PICKS THAT THE FO HAVE MADE!!!! HOWEVER, the last trade is indicative of what this team is all about. The Jets, with so much good value on the board, decide to trade down. The Patriots recognize when there's a steal to be had and they trade up to get a GREAT player. I am not trying to be a "darksider" or negative to our FO because i like what they have done up until this point, but this is why we will always be somewhat good and they will be great. Hopefully we can get something positive out of that 53 pick.
i think they're butchering this draft. two solid picks but still no playmakers. bye bye lendale, hello top-10 pick next year
I love the Jets first 2 picks....however... it IS sickening that the Patriots can have such a good season and STILL come away with Maroney & Jackson in the Draft.
i wouldnt say jackson "doesnt play as fast as his 40" the guy can fly. youre relying on this past year when he was forced to run inside a lot which isnt going to truly take advantage of his speed physically, jackson is a beast of a WR. the trade we just made with the skins i liked. we got enough for it, im happy.
Its our FAULT Have #35 pick and trade down when Chad there now Pats trade up and take chad at #36 we got to see him 2x a year, hes so fast with great hands tom brady and jackson deep downfield oh man great job new york. losers
I do like this draft so far. You guys need to build from the ground up (lines) and you are doing just that. this ia good Jets draft.
I was able to deal /w our first 2 picks...but trading the 35 really got me pissed off, especially when jackson landed in NE. Im sorry but im not big on the idea that we are going to struggle to get points next year and we passed on a guy who could help us score.
the Giants pick reminds me so much of Bryan Thomas...a DE when you've got a pro bowl one, and another that's pro bowl caliber and still has more potential, not to mention just signed a long term deal?
I will say that does suck, when you are haunted by a guy you could have had. At least Leinart went to the NFC.
