Yeah, That headline caught my eye too  http://bleacherreport.com/articles/223947-jets-nfl-should-stop-selling-sex
Wow. What's the source on this interview? That's hilarious. This line caught my eye: So, it was the interview's fault? Or Kolber's? Come on. Joe embarrassed himself because he was drunk and acted stupidly. Why are we shifting blame? I love how Erin Andrews is suddenly to blame for that tape, too.
I agree with the article. Let's stop kidding ourselves. Sex sells. I support fully nude sideline reporters and cheerleaders in '09!
Sorry Guys, I usually post the link http://bleacherreport.com/articles/223947-jets-nfl-should-stop-selling-sex
I agree with some of what your saying. You have very capable females reporters pushed out because they were too old like Lesley Visser. She was one of the best who just happen to have gotten older. The only one I like is Bonnie Bernstein. The rest can go away. The one on Monday night Lisa Guerrero she was horrible and the one who replaced her Melissa Stark was horrible too. I'm not watching footbal to see boobs and most aren't bringing anything to game.
What's the point of this article? Sideline reporters are unnecessary? Or that the NFL is selling sex? If this is an argument to do away with sideline reporting, fine. Include Armen Keteyian in the conversation and every other male sideline reporter. Sideline reporting, regardless of gender, is completely unnecessary. But if this is an argument that the NFL shouldn't be selling sex, and one of the author's main points is "Hey, that Suzy Kolber only got that gig cause of what a fox she is!" then I'd call that a poor argument.
I'm Ok with women on the sideline doing interviews, but there are a few that are clueless. There are also a few men that are clueless on the sidelines.
We are on the same page. That is a major head scratcher. Nothing like taking the responsibility off the alcoholic and on the interviewer.
LOL - are you kdding me? Visser was one of the worst "reporters" ever. The only reason she held the job as long as she did is because she is female. If she was a male, she would have been fired a long time before she was.
If John Elway or Jim Kelley was loaded, no way that interview happens. I'm convinced of that. Namath was absolutely responsible, straightened out his life from there, which is a good thing; but that interview was purposeful. No question in my mind.
