New York Jets: The Complete Illustrated History by Mark Cannizzaro Amazon keeps bugging me to buy this book. I love the Jets and all, but 20 bux is 20 bux.:breakdance: Anybody have, read or seen it?
If Cannizzaro wrote it, it will be utter garbage. I bought his 'Tales from the Jets Sidelines' and it was the worst-written sports book I've ever read. Absolute rubbish.
Shucks there are people on this board who are paying $1,250.00 for season tix & U R worrying about paying a measly $25.00 for a book.
I have both books. Tales wasn't so bad but it can't hold a candle to Rex's book or even the unauthorized Namath biog. (I couldn't stop reading Rex's book it was so good and finished in 3 nights.) The pictures in the book are nice but Canz' writing isn't great. If you have the time and initiative, you could probably put your own screen saver together with most of these pics and probably some some he missed.
$1,250.00 for season tix...damn. Out here in Hollywood, there's long waiting lists to watch popular shows tape episodes. For shitty shows, they pay the audience to show up.
The Rich Kotite Era photos are attached to the book by velrco, so you can rip them out & forget they happened.
he should do that with el taco's photos from last two years. most of us are still traumatized from last thanksgiving night, when el taco tried to stuff the turkey with himself and Brandon moore.
I finished up Nose to Nose a while ago. It had some good shit in it. Klecko was a manster. When the season starts, I'm gonna start a Jets Quiz thread and send it to the winner.
The book is ok, the wife bought it me for my birthday. it really a coffee table type book, one that you read a bit when you have a moment.
Like someone else said its a coffee table book. I got it as a gift from a friend. I have since used it to have several players sign it on various pages. So far I have Boozer, Walker, Harper, Wayne, and Ray Lucas.
Shucks, people who pay that much for tickets and then pay this much for a worthless book must be very savvy business men. How it's your farm going? Under water?
