I stand corrected. Matthews played tackle, but did not make a Pro Bowl at the position.
He made the Pro Bowl at three different positions, however. Left guard, center, and right guard. But we'll just say two- guard and center.
Nine times a Pro Bowler at guard.
Five times a Pro Bowler at center.

We could also say Klecko made the Pro Bowl as an interior lineman and as an end and not make a differentiation between nose tackle and 4-3 defensive tackle.

no we can't - DE, DT and NT are three very different positions. All are defined as such on the Pro Bowl Ballot. LG and RG are not defined as different, even though we know LT and RT are different, they are not defined as such either.

I always thought Hill was the most deserving followed by Klecko, Mawae, Powell and Martin. Martin will go in Mawae is possible, the other 3 no way.

Okay. I wasn't arguing or anything.

I do think the three different positions thing is a little overblown, though. It's not like Klecko played completely different positions like players did in the first half of the 20th century when they played on offense and defense.

Winston can't help but think if they weren't Jets they would get serious consideration, seems that Jets are always slighted....

I don't think he's off the mark or being paranoid. I'm not either. Don't touch me!

Gotta look at the All-Time NFL Teams, particularly the all decade teams. Click on the first link in my signature.
Those are the players who were considered the best of their particular eras.

    Also, look at All-Pro selections.
Don't look at Pro Bowls too much.

Then look at team success, but don't put too much stock in that. After all, Ollie Matson, Dick Butkus, Gale Sayers, Jackie Smith are in the HOF and they weren't on winning teams.

And while you're at it, please vote in the five all-time NFL team game threads.

I've been on the Winston Hill bandwagon for some time.... the guy made 8 pro-bowls as an OL. Blocked for a HOF QB and won a SB. The only ding on Hill is that he played in the AFL but last time I checked they let Warren Moon in based on some of his CFL stats. It's the pro football HOF not the NFL HOF.

Maybe all those 5 yard off sides penalties are working against him since instead of helping the team it hindered the team?

I was anti-Thomas for a long time. Then some of these writer dudes changed my mind and I am usually stubborn and not easily swayed. I also think Moon making the HOF has something to do with it. I'm not crazy about Thomas, but he was a better rush LB than Moon wa s a QB.

He's washing the windows of the Pet Shop for Mr. Peebles. His brother, Magilla, although also simple, is far more engaging. He's off making deliveries on that goofy bicycle of his. Let's see now. Milksop for Miss Birdseed...
