Aug 24 PRNewswire.com report New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush is a 2-1 favorite to win the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2006. New England Patriots RB Laurence Maroney is 4-1 while Tennessee Titans RB LenDale White and Indianapolis Colts RB Joseph Addai are 5-1. Titans QB Vince Young is a longshot at 15-1. All odds were set by Sportsbook.com. wheres dbrick?!?!?! lol
which is bollocks! If a player is outstanding at his job the he should have an even chance. I would still put money on Brick though
I would say there is a 0% chance Bush wins ROY. He just won't get the numbers splitting time and won't be able to get into a rhythm in my opinion. It's most likely going to be a running back though, unless one of the new pass rushers gets like 15 sacks
im withya rambo rbs have the best shot of winning it and i think itll prob be lawrence maroney hes coming into a winning sytem where their current rb is shunned for some reason id put my money on maroney
I really don't get why you're all shocked that D'Brick isn't even considered. It's not exactly fair, but it's not surprising news that OL isn't a "glamour" position. The common fan rarely even pays attention to them unless they commit a penalty. They do the grunt work, yet barely get any recognition. It's been like this forever...
Well its time it changed THATS what shocks me.Its the BEST TEAM sport in the world , but a lineman cannot win OTY? Doesn't make sense
your acting like we dont already know this. i dont believe anyone here was saying that DBrick should be in the running...we were merely saying that its a shame that they arent considered. in other words, you dont have to tell us that lineman are rarely payed attention to, im pretty sure most fans know that, we are just saying it is a shame they arent payed attention to. to quote my self from earlier to quote FITM doesnt exactly sound like shock to me, start reading the posts and stop trying so hard to sound smarter than everyone else
My money is on Leinart. With the weapons he has around him, if he gets a chance to play (which is likely with Warner infront of him), I say he has the best chance to win.
enjoy him while youve got him..before you know, youll be dying for a starting rb..enough to trade with the 49ers
I thought it was because he can't stay healthy so he is going to play his first 16 games over a two year span.
I strongly disagree with you here. I realize that Bush is going to be splitting time, but as of now it doesn't look like Maroney, Williams or LenDale are going to be getting anything close to a full time role yet. Before the season I would have selected Vernon Davis, but he seems to have been a non-factor so far this pre-season. Also don't forget that they award an offensive and a defensive ROY awards.
haha, sorry, he just made it sound like were all 8 year olds who dont know football ive looked at GNC and they dont have chill pills
Manny Lawson is still my favorite to win the defensive award. Talk about falling into a perfect scenario, oh man. I'm also with GreenMachine on the DeAngelo Williams prediction for the offensive side. Foster gets hurt brushing his teeth, leaving DA the job.
Maroney, White and Williams all have worse running backs in front of them than Reggie Bush. Also why does the fact that they won't be starting change anything about Bush not starting?
