As for why he took Adderall, Ngata was feeling sluggish during the season from balancing home life and work and wanted help concentrating

Pass. If at 31 you need adderall to get through the day because your brains not working like it used to, that's a red flag.

Didn't realize he was 31 already. Wow. Not a target for the Jets, but that could be a big name in free agency

They're cutting him for money. They don't think he's worth what he's asking for. Some team will pay him but not us because we have Snacks.

Nah, they are LOADED at Dline, even by Rex standards. They'll be heavily targeting LB's on the defensive side of the ball and some DB's at the safety spot, mostly in the box safeties.

I will say, if Ngata signs with Buffalo and they load up more on defense it might rival the 2000 Ravens.....Watch out for Buffalo's defense.

Buffalo's D is going to be top notch. Offense & Special Teams, not so much. I can see Buffalo making this move (now). Any high profile defender is going to get a look from that "city" that plays in "New York" lol

It wouldn't even be the best D in the league currently. How's it gonna rival one of the best of all time?

Maybe if they signed Revis and Houston or Suh they could make a run at Seattle's D. Not an aging Ngata though.

Or some people need help more than others. This is not a crime.

I don't know if a doctor prescribed him the adderall but if a doctor did and he went through proper channels he doesn't receive a 4 game suspension. So yeah, having prescription narcotics that aren't yours kinda is a crime.

it's probably the only position on team where we don't need help, so it doesn't make sense for the Jets.

side note on Ngata though... has there been a better interior Dlineman over the last 10 years?
i think he's in the HOF discussion, and would get my vote if i had one.

Please let's build a young team that can compete for the long hall.
Cromartie makes sense because I feel he can be had at a decent price and he also knows Bowles defense but any other FA signing has to be a guy that is going to be around the next 5 years.
    Pass

A lot of 14-3 losses, followed by a lot of Rex chest pounding.
