Obviously we all have seen the rumors today, but what about Pouha? The dude is 325! I think we should at least give him a chance before we waste a high first rounder on another DT. Plus, teh FO has to be skeptical about picking one that high, especially after the way Dewayne has performed. Again and again, you have to take a playmaker with the high pick. And thats what the NY Daily News article said. Brick likely not a pick because the Jets are now using the PAtriots formula and waiting until low first and middle rounds to take lineman.
Exactly, we shouldn't get ngata with that pick, because we dont really need him. we got kimo and have pouha who is HUGE. i think if we have the seventh pick, we should get D'Brick or Vernon, whichever SF doesn't take. We need help on offense!
How could you say he's horrible? The guy has barely played. We should atleast give him a chance before we start making judgements. There are always plenty of big run stuffing tackles in every draft and free agency, we don't need to take one that high especially when we have other needs like OLD, DE, OL, AND RB. I would like to see the jets pick Mario, or Hawk.
there are not plenty of run stuffers in every draft. Tell me how many DTs there are in this years draft that are 320 plus
It doesnt matter that Ngata is 320 plus, the man is lazy and has no motor. I would rather have a 280LB run stuffer with a huge motor than Ngata who has no motivation. Seriously we draft this guy, and its a mistake. He'll show up for camp overweight, never amount to anything and years down the line we'll be saying "I can't believe we wasted a great opportunity with a high pick in a draft like that on this guy who's a waste of size and talent."
Exactly what I was going to say. He thinks it's owed to him that he gets this kind of hype, he better start worrying about his stock, esp. with Broderick Bunkley ranked higher on a lot of boards all of a sudden.
how about signing Big Grady Jackson. As far as i know hes still a free agent and at 6-2 345 lbs he could def anchor the NT in a 3-4
