We don't have a thread and todays game was good, PVR'd that shit.

Grienke was...less than stellar today for MIL, but with their lineup, the pitching dosen't have to carry them. Polar opposites from San Francisco last year.

    So Milwaukee won 9-6 today.

Question: would the Brewers be the first team in history to win the American League pennant and the National League pennant?

Oddly, when they won the AL in 1982 it was St. Louis they faced in the World Series, or as it was nicknamed at the time, the World Beeries.

    I'd probly say so, yes.

An argument can be made for the Metropolitans in like 1884/85, but they shut down in 1887 and the 1962 Mets were simply an homage to the original team.

St. Louis just destroying Milwaukee tonight, 10-2 in the 7th.

Marcum got pulled in the 5th, which was probly 2 innings too late, since his shit was terrible.

And as I'm typing this, the Cards just scored ANOTHER run, making it 11-2. And there's runners on the corners w/ 1 out. This is just going to get uglier.

I was hoping they'd steal a game in Milwaukee. Hopefully they'll shut Nyjer Morgan's stupid ass up. I thought you actually had to be above average to talk shit. Guy hits .300 once and he acts like he's a black Ty Cobb. Bly Cobb.

    Marcum lifted after 1 inning!

Apparently they were lying when they talked about confidence in him.

Isn't that diminished by the roof being closed? Doesn't seem so.

On the bright side, at least the Brewers have an awesome mascot. A drunk. They might need some of his beer to wash their troubles away.
