I was a little worried last week. It was miami and the stadium never seemed to have the energy the jets/miami should have. I getting a little worried after this week. I didnt goto the gam from what I heard on the radio and watched on tv this weeks game look more like a preseason game. What the hell is going on??
yeah, i agree.... the first 2 home games had a lot more juice... i wonder if the security was tight for this game. I didn't get to go today.
It was only half-full at kickoff, and it never really got packed. People don't believe in this team yet, and the Lions aren't a big enough draw for people to come.
Yea, first 2 games the crowd was really good. Last 2 it's been absolutely pathetic. Miami game the crowd was dead, and most left early to watch the Mets I guess. Today the crowd wasn't very loud either and the place was never close to full. Pretty sad.
There are only 8 games! I would think if you bought season tickets you'd show up 8 times. 8 times in a year of 365 days! These people should sell their tickets or give them away for free. If they are real Jets fans but unable to attend a particular game, give the tickets away instead of eating them. The problem is there are way too many non-Jets fans that have Jets season tickets. My boss used to have Jets season tickets and he's a Dolphins fan! It's ridiculous.
I think the 41-0 game put a damper on some of the fans...perhaps if the Jets win their next two games...especially the Pats game it will draw a bigger crowd.
That bomb threat really scared people away I think. I guarantee you the crowd will be riled up for the next home game vs. Chicago
I don't think anyone cared about the bomb threat. I just don't think anyone thinks the Jets are going anywhere, so there's no reason to go.
that is infuriating that some of those season ticket holders dont show. Man i know for a fact that hundreds of other would kill to get their hands on some tickets to any jets games
You know, I have to agree with others in this thread. Forget the bomb threat, if I had season tix, I would be at every game, from before kickoff to after the final player left the field. There's no excuse for not showing up. Even if you don't believe in this team, you should still be there. Hell, did anyone see the Oakland/Arizona final minutes? The stadium was PACKED. That's what fans do, they go and they cheer, and they stay. I'll echo others. If you don't want to go to the game, sell me your season tickets. I'll be happy to take them off your hands.
This season and last season, I had to sell off 1/2 of my season tickets games b/c I'm trying to buy a house. Why is it that I only got like 2 people interested in buying the 1/2 season ticket package when I needed to? I think a lot of people didn't expect the Jets to be contenders, and only now they want to buy tickets. Either that, or they don't pay attention to the buy/sell tickets thread. Hell, I was asking face for them. I had a pair of Miami tickets for sale last week that my inlaws couldn't use (they went to Walk For A Cure), and I needed to unload quickly. I ended up selling them to a co-worker last minute. Anyway, we need energy.
It's always half full at KO b/c people don't pack up their tailgates quick enough. The same thing happens w/ the Giants but FOX probably doesn' mention that when the Giants play.
I don't think you can blame it on the tailgates yesterday, walking through the parking lot it looked like a preseason game. It was a probably a combination of the opponent, weather that looked dicey and maybe some of the threat as well.
It filled up midway through the1 st qtr as it always does, there might have beena few thousand less than normal but it was over 90% full.
