We drafted him and then Hermy said he sucks so he rotted away on the bench. Now if Cotch has a good year he'll probably demand too much based on just 1 year of play. This is what happens when you don't start your rookies until too late. If Leon has a breakthrough year this year and next, we still can sign him to an extension at a reasonable price.
guys who breakout in their third year after paying their dues tend to resign with the club that drafted them, they usually remain loyal, i see coles and cotch as our 1 and 2 for years to come.
I can't believe he has been benched all this time, thank god we got rid of herm or we may have never known cotch's full potential.
i knew cotch was going to be awesome out of college, he was on the NC state team that decimated teams with offensive production, they had TA MCLENDON *who i dont think is in the NFL but nwas fantastic in college, very lamont jordan eequ* phillip rivers and cotch. jerricho also broke all of TORY HOLTS records at NC state the guy is a gamer, but you would never know that by sitting on the bench
The most amazing thing about Cotch so far is the fact that he never goes down on first contact.. It seems like guys just bounce right off of him
he broke some..as in receptions he is #2 to holt in receiving yards and tds...the two biggest stats cotchery also played w/ rivers who is not only ncsu's best qb ever, but ncsu's only qb to ever do anything...not to mention had some of the best stats/ratings of some of the alltime great ncaa qbs cotchery is a beast, but he is no holt in college or nfl

living in raleigh...i actually have seen 1 nc state cotchery jersey on a girl which was nice not much cotchery love though...and really not much holt love nc state fans only have the man love for rivers
if his contract is up in '07, they better find a way to resign him; ESPECIALLY if he continues building chemistry with Pennington. i think they will because he seems like a "Mangini player." they'll do what's necessary to keep him. cheers
