he had a high pitch count, but went 1-2-3 in the 6th and 7th, throwing 9 pitches in each. It was looking like a 5 inning outing after his first two innings.
I hate West Coast even though I go to bed around 2. Seriously I love baseball, but baseball+10 pm start=instant drowsiness.
Wow, that's cold.....yet funny because fuck Dallas Braden. Snaggle-toothed clown. I like how he's dropped back into the toilet of obscurity since his perfect game.
The best part about the t-shirts is that Braden and some of the other A's players don't like them, feeling that they're tacky. Yes Dallas, because acting like a self-important asswipe whining about "your mound" was all class.
Here's a crazy stat: only 4% of [ARod's] ABs (13) have come with the bases loaded, 36% of A-Rod's RBI (24) have come in those ABs. He's suddenly becoming a beast again. And clutch. Hell, if I were pitching and he came up with the bases loaded, I'd IBB him to pitch to Cano. 1 is less than 4. As far as Braden, I think he's trying to make amends with ARod. He even said the other day "my 15 minutes is long over." I think he spoke out of turn, has finally realized it, and now just wants to move on. As far as Mo, I have a feeling he just doesn't want to pitch in the All-Star game. He may be aching a little, but I don't think he's as hurt as he's making it sound. He just wants a few days off, with zero throwing, just to recharge. You can't really blame him. Anyway, vote Swisher! Let's get Lee!
