You think we got Ramsey so now we trade Ramsey and Abe to Atlanta for Schaub and a draft pick..Now if we did trade, Atlanta would have a decent backup QB..Which was there prime reason for holding back on giving up Schaub cause of Vick's injury probability.. Food for thought..
What are you talking about...? They didn't want to trade Schuab cause he is a decent backup and good upside. They would have to go after aBackup QB to Vick. Yo udon't think this is a bit plausible..
Has anyone ever traded for a player just to trade him to somewhere else? Sounds like Madden talk to me.
Its a bit plausible, but Ramsy is a decent back up too also he is younger and has more potential. Obviously you haven't been paying attention too all the veteren posters giving us a noobs a bad name (rightfully so) and Im just mad about you proving their point because Im trying to make a good name for myself so I don't get bashed because Im relatively new.
This isn't so far fetched. Atlanta doesn't want to trade schaub since they wouldn't have a decent backup for him. I doubt Atlanta would want Bollinger. Do I think this is going to happen? no. But I do think it's a possiblity.
so then maybe Jets get: #15 and Shaub Falcons get: Patrick Ramsey and John Abraham Redskins get: mid round picks from both teams?
I think we should just forget about the Matt Schaub talk and just put it behind us. Atlanta made it pretty obvious they were NOT going to give him up. Too many people are in love with Matt Schaub. He has started exactly 2 games in his career, and the guy is FULL of question marks. Although Schaub could turn out to be great, right now this team needs someone cheap with some starting experience. Ramsey is a good fit.
Ok guys I said the crap was off the wall idea..To say I am a noob based on how many damn posts I have .."your a moron.".. I got sick and tired of seeing the same thread over and over repoducing itself with Abe and Schaub. I tossed out something different and like I said "off the wall" Cause like I stated the reason why the falcons are so ate up on Schaub is cause of Vicks game style and chances of getting hurt and he has shown he can step in and win.
I'm pretty sure Ramsey will be our starting QB for this year they will probably give him a contract extension for 2 more years to give him some security. I think he has the tools to be a very good qb, but mentally he has to get it together. Obviously his nfl career up to this point has not be anything to write home about but he wasn't in a great situation. At worst he's a stop gap until we find a qb.
If Atlanta was so interested in Ramsey as a backup worthy of replacing Schaub (and they were close to trading Schaub) I'm sure they would have traded a 5th or 6th to get Ramsey themselves.
Hey ,i hear you with the noob thing and how many posts , it's annoying i know. just too much silly talk , i've here since the second month the TGG was started , i just never signed up. I came here for info , it was the best for that and still is.
Oh ya and also USAJETSFAN look at the first stickey I'll let you look........It's the Shaub thread why didn't you post in that thread instead of making a new one? Remember "It's always better to post in a existing thread rather then starting your own." just click the link in my sig. to find out.
I agree that it's not a bad proposal, and it actually seems pretty fair. Realistically speaking though, it's just never going to happen. When was the last time an NFL team traded for a certain player, and then used him in a trade with another team. It just doesn't happen in this league.
I see where youre coming from with the back up thing...but my friend, rarely teams trade for a player just to trade him somewhere else.
