Ive liked what I've seen from Sanchez and the OL has played pretty well, but Im worried about our skill players. I am usually not one to break out with one of these mid-game worrisome threads, but we have some problems... Still. Stephen Hill has had a bad drop and it looked like he could have caught that TD pass. Holmes should've had that pass too.

Our TE's are a mess right now... Keller should hopefully be okay by week 1, but hammy's tend to linger. Baker looks like he'll be out a while and we still dont have a blocking TE.

Shonn Greene can not break a tackle and is just average. Can we finally admit that he will never be good?

If I was Tanny, I would be on the phone with the Saints to see if I could get Chris Ivory for a 6th or 7th. We also need to miraculously come up with a #2 TE (we pretty much have no depth, Keller and then Cumberland, thats it).

People may look at this game and even preseason and blame our lack of production on Sanchez, but he is the least of our worries.

Yes you are. You are freaking worried after a preseason game. Did u not hear the announcers say Chiefs had the worst offense in preseason in 2003 and then went on to have the best offense in regular season? Just like they said it, preseason means NOTHING. Get over it!

They are who we thought they were. They are never going to be even an average offense without better personnel at almost every skill position outside of C and LT.

A long time ago on this board I got slammed for saying Stephen Hill was a bad pick, and they should have gone with RB LaMichael james.

Even though it's only preseason, I hate being right. This dudes not ready, he might be the best prototype wide receiver in this years class, but he can't catch. Even the one play he did make, it looked like he fucked up the route and got lucky. He reminds me a lot of Heyward Bey when he was drafted. Theoretically good, just not.

I'd like to see McKnight take more reps with the ones. Just because of his speed.

No way in hell do you take LaMichael James over Stephen Hill. Hill is a first round talent.

I'd like to see what the chiefs preseason looked like, because I have a feeling it was entirely different. That team was good on paper.

If we were the packers and we had this preseason I wouldn't be so disgusted because I would know in my heart that we're better. But with the jets you had to have feeling going into this season that the offense was gonna blow. Watching Samchez get sacked, Hill drop balls, and Greene consistently run for two or three yards is exactly what I expect to see when I turn the jets game on.

Hill is a first round athlete and a mid round talent at best. Everyone said he was raw pre-draft. I see it now.

I think a running back would help us more this season.

I hope you're right dude. But you're not. Lol.

Vernon Gholston was a first round talent too.

Haha so one year that's it hmm? We're building a football team that can hopefully last several years were not putting all of our eggs in one basket last time I checked. When Hill improves his techniques, his value would be much higher for the Jets than a 3rd down back in LeMichael James. Don't kid yourself

He really wasn't. Before the combine he was a 4th round pick with some people moving him up a round and some moving him down a round.

After the combine everybody freaked out over his 4.3 speed and 6'4" and all but if he was a good receiver along with that he'd have been at a passing program racking up a large number of catches, yards and TD's.

    Much better o-line play tonight

Sanchez has way more zip on the ball compared to the last 3 years

Hill has to catch that pass

running game should still have be big piece - especially in the second half of games

need to cut down the penalties - hopefully this is just a pre-season thing because they can't afford to take 10 and 15 yard penalties

Defense looks solid and IF Landry can stay healthy he is a beast.

And yes, but in truth we are probably royally screwed no matter what.

I'm just going to enjoy watching the defense play this year and take strategic trips to the bathroom, the fridge, to mow the lawn, etc, when the offense is on the field.

Trade the farm for MJD. Or at least green, Tebow and a 4th.

Actually, this offense is about what could be expected given that its predicated on the ground game. Although it looked somewhat anemic, I think we may have found our RT for the time being as Howard has played an exceptional game tonight.

Dolphin fans knew that Sparano plays small ball on offense and so far this preseason, in spite of many statements saying that the Jets weren't going to "show anything", does anyone here really think you're gonna see anything much different than what you're seeing so far? Are we really depending on the wildcat to provide points? Seriously, outside of Holmes and to some extent Kerley, we got nothing at WR for any DC to be concerned about.

This is a offense made for a Ryan. Buddy would have loved this offense as his teams also depended on its defense to help out an anemic offense. If Rex thinks that by simply running the ball and trying to play a ball control offense in this league will get us to the promised land, he might be changing his mind by season's end. I just don't see this team flipping some invisible switch and the offense suddenly becoming a force to be reckoned with.
