I have to admit, the way you were lobbying for Vince Young to be a Jet, it annoyed me. I was pro-Leinart and you were pro-Young. I continually said that he'd take AT LEAST 2 years to develop into a good NFL QB, he ran a made for college style offense, his throwing style would hinder him, etc. Even comparing him to Cade McNown in terms of a college QB who benefited with a great system and would be the ultimate BUST of the 2006 NFL draft.

And quite frankly i'm astonished at how he is playing. Of course he had his bumps, and will have more bumps, like everyone does. But the composure he showed in the Giants and Colts comeback against the Manning's surprised me. Yeah he was a winner at Texas, but didn't think that'd translate to the NFL like it has. Again, I was so against Young for the reasons I named, most notably it'd take 2 years for him to even be a QB, and even still i'd question it.

This isn't a NY should of traded up, heck no, I cannot be any happier with D'Brickashaw and he has shut me up since I was so pro-Leinart, and it's irrelevant since Vince was drafted 3rd. But just simply saying all the berating I did to Tony and other Vince Young supporters looks pretty stupid now, haha.

So Tony, and other Vince supporters...My apologies, I sure as hell didn't think he'd be good much less make an impact in his rookie season.

I still don't like his throwing style, but it worked for Bernie Kosar for a number of years so who knows.

Of the three, I was pounding the table for Cutler. Remains to be seen what's going to happen with him, but yeah, Young looks unstoppable when he's hot. I never expected him to have the poise he's shown as a rookie. Totally confident.

I hope me being a newbie doesn't hurt my opinion on this matter, but the amasing thing about Young is who the heck are his WR's, sure they have Bennett but who else, I still think it's his mobility that is shining more then his passing right now....I still think as an over all career that Leinert will be the better QB....just my opinion

Vince Young and the Titans are the first NFL team to beat the Manning brothers back to back.

thats the best part, hes throwing well with a very very mediocre recieving cast. your right hes making the most crucial plays with his feet. but when he starts to feel comfortable in the pocket, he shreds D's.

I wanted us to draft him, but can live with the fact we didnt as we did the next best thing by solidifying crucial OL spots.

Even on opening day I was pretty relieved when they put Kerry Collins back in. We caught a break with the timing of that game.

I thought all three QBs would be great NFL Qbs & I still do..

    I had them ranked:
    Leinart
    Cutler
    Young

That would be the same order today.

I go Cutler-Leinart-Young, and I still feel that way. Young isn't winning by throwing the ball yet, and it is still way too early in the QBs' careers to show who will be the best.

The nfl will solve Young the way it solved Vick. Enjoy it while it lasts.

How many NFL teams have played the Manning brothers back to back?

According to John Clayton, the reason why Vince Young is having some success throwing the ball is because Defenses play the run on him. He has been throwing on 1st and second downs. And he isn't playng that great

1 maybe 2 since no one usually gets AFC South & NFC East in the same year much less have them scheduled back to back.

Yes, but consider the fact that the Jets are also an immensely improved team since week 1 - especially the defense. We would pull out a close one again.

Jetsrock16, a.k.a Nancy Jr, your not going to get any help for your Vinny Testaverde man-love, especially in this thread. Your 'welcome back' thread, I'm sure, wasn't what you wanted it to be. What makes you think people will be on your side for having a crush on Vinny?

me no know!! i believe in the first line of your post, you are looking to actually use the word "you're" as opposed to "your," as you're is a contraction for the words you are!!

Heh. Normally when my name is the title of a thread, it's followed up by "you're an ass". While I do appreciate the sentiment, no apology is necessary.

First off, Leinart is probably playing better then Vince. He just doesn't have the coaching or talent around him that Vince has. I will say, though, that Vince Young will be one of teh best the NFL has ever seen.

Footballgod214, you couldn't be more wrong. Mike Vick is no Vince Young. Vince Young is to the NFL wwhat Neo was to the Matrix. Or will be, anyway.

I'm not going to start an argument in this thread, because I can see that NYJ EcKo151 wanted to let Tony know something for all to read, but don't ever correct my grammar when YOURS SUCKS.
