You never want to have a starter battle injuries, but in this case, we know that Pouha is a formidable presence on the line. In the long run, I think it's good that Kenrick Ellis and the other d-linemen will get more reps out of this.

Hopefully he's back in time for Buffalo, Fred Jackson is the best guy on their team.

Yea I'm hoping this guy and Holmes can get healthy. He's a veteran so I'm not too worried about him missing time in camp. He know what he's got to do he's just got to get healthy.

That's all that matters. As much as people are losing their minds over some preseason action, it means nothing. Pouha knows the defense, we just need him healthy when the games count. Rest up big fella.

In a perfect world I'd love to see Holmes and pouha playing in preseason getting some reps but all that matters is they are ready to go week 1. We know they aren't playing this weeka nd starters don't play week 4 of preseason so there are only 2 games left anyway.

As much as I dislike injuries, I love the idea of Ellis getting more snaps at this point.

Yeah, finding out if Ellis is ready to go is a big part of figuring out if the Jets are going to be good or great this year on defense.

Most definitely. It will be nice to know what kind of depth we have on the D Line. Pouha is great but he is a little up there in age so it'd be nice to give him a few plays off. Also against some running teams to put Pouha Ellis and Devito all on the field at once will make it real tough up the middle.

I didn't track Ellis for every snap, but when I did key on him it was pretty underwhelming. Nowhere to go but up I guess.

i actually liked what i saw out of him...he played really well from hashmark to sideline and was in on numerous plays in the flat and at the LOS.

I hope he makes the most out of this extra action in the preseason. He's a guy who I'm focusing in on in every preseason game for sure. If he takes big steps forward our D-Line goes to the next level.
