On the contrary, the 9th spot plus a 3rd rounder would be awesome. At the 9th spot we'll have a shot at Groves and for that 3rd rounder, we can have a shot at Rubin or Bryant (for NT depth) or OL depth.

anyone moving up in the top 10 will cost more than a swapping picks and a 3rd, otherwise it's not worth it... don't care what some chart says

an interesting post, kelly. I would only do it if it was bengal first and SECOND rounder--I'd then move down from 9 and pick up more picks--hey, coming off 4-12 don't tell me that we're set.

AP was more of a hype out of college because of his height and weight (not to mention his skill) right out of the gate. Only reason he fell to 8th even was his potential injury risk.

Depends on who is and isn't on the board at #6. If it's McFadden, Chris Long, Jake Long or Gholston, it isn't worth a third rounder. If those four are gone however, I'll take the third rounder and let the other team enjoy Dorey/Sedrick Ellis.

I liked the strategy the Jets had last year of go with the sure thing if it is available. By trading down a few slots and picking up a 3rd round pick it gives us a chance of getting another Schlegel. I have seen this happen to the Jets too much over the years. Their best laid plans typically blow up in their face.

My advice is - go with the sure thing, if somebody you really like is there at 6, you make your move.

how could we pass on run dmc? you have to take him if hes on the board. you just have to. and alio is not that off with trading for johnson. I just think 6 straight up is giving them too much. maybe 6 and the third rounder...
