Right now our defense in a 3-4 against the run is going to suck because we don't have a nose tackle. Dewayne Robertson did nothing tonight. The 3-4 is useless without a nasty defensive line.
its only the first game of preseason they still have time to get their placement and plays down.. calm down

they should have been able to adjust in some manner to the inside run...and they DID NOT MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENT.....im disgusted personally

I always know it gets bad, but this year I figured bad team, 1st game for everyone, new style, first preseason game, I figured common sense would prevail, guess the joke's on me.
i had to work and didn't catch any of the game. can y'all fill me in on the LB's and who played where/how well they played? in another thread, i thought i saw Thomas at ILB, which surprised me because i thought he'd play outside, while Barton teamed with Vilma in the middle. How is the 3-4 a bait? Why would teams run it as a base defense if it sucked... And it's way too early for anyone to sany anything good or bad about the defense or the offense or ANYTHING. We will probably suck, but not because of preseason games.

Such crap is unbelievable. First game of preseason, we said it is a rebuilding team and some so called Jet fans are already bitching because we did not look like the Pats. Get a f##$$$% life. Give me a break
Thomas did play LB last night. He actually made a sideline tackle about 5 yards past the LOS. He looks like he may have put on about 5 or 10 pounds. Still thin, but a little better, and he has some quickness, it'll be interesting to see how he develops. They mentioned that Barton will probably be playing a lot of ILB. I didn't know that was going to be the case, but I'll be patient with it and see. He did drop a couple of pretty easy INTs. (My bad, I just saw in another post that this was actually Hobson. I guess I really wasn't paying enough attention. By the second quarter I was already typing away in the BS forum, LoL.) Schlegal was in, I believe it was the second half. By that point, I wasn't paying much attention anymore.
