As everybody knows by now, I co-host a 100% commercial-free, no one makes a dime from it, Sports Talk radio show on Long Island. Tonight, at 9PM on Long Island's 90.3FM, we're going to be joined again by Newsday's Jets beat writer Erik Boland--this time, for a Jets Season Preview. Like always, please post any questions that you might have, and we'll ask them. Since we're commercial-free, we can really delve into the stuff that you want to know about. My co-host will be conducting the interview, so I'll make sure that he gets all of your questions. While we're not yet webcast, I'll get the audio to http://hosted.filefront.com/patchyfogg as soon as humanly possible. Thanks!
ask him which rookie he thinks will have the bigger impact this season, Dustin Keller or Dwight Lowery? Also ask him what he thinks of how well Pace has played this preseason Does he think that this offense will be clicking on Sunday, or if they will still need more time to gel?
Ask him if there is any concern about Thomas Jones, by the organization, and if they entertained any thoughts of picking up a running back, on the waver wire. Also, ask him if the organization feels this is just a 1 year and out deal, with Favre, or do they think he will be around next year.
Is the fan/media scrutinization of Gholston well deserved or are people holding him under a microscope because he was a high pick? Does he have info on how the team really feels about his progress or just the same company line we have been hearing?
How many deer has Favre bagged? Are the Jets defensive backs talking about breaking interception records this week against Chad? How much of the offensive playbook will be available this week and how long until the full playbook will be used? Speaking of playbooks, did we get rid of that stupid wide receiver screen pass yet? How about the fade pass we do on every single first down(and second down) in the red zone?
Hi patchy, Could you ask him this... Is Gholston struggling because the Jets have thrown the whole playbook at him? Should they have limited what they asked him to do to let him get his feet under himself as a rookie and get a little confidence?
Thanks for the opportunity to ask questions. I'd be interested to know that if as a reporter, he believes that the current reporters are slow to criticize or even ask tough questions of Mangini. Or does he believe that the reporters do ask the tough questions of Mangini. For example, in Preseason game 2 with 5 seconds left he lined up to go for a TD. Then, after using the last time out before a delay of game penalty, he changes his mind and goes for a FG. What?! Was his original thought to run a play in 4 seconds and then call the timeout??!! Did he just change his mind?! The reporters just accepted his explanation that he wanted to get Ainge some work in OT. How does that explain changing the play? How did the loss of the timeout influence his decision making and was it logical to do so? Obviously, this is not such a big deal but I believe there have been several questionable decisions made over the last 2+ years and I never hear him having to defend his logic so it makes me think that the reporters are intimidated by him. Or, does everyone just agree that he is at times illogical and we leave it at that? Thanks a lot.
what about... What it looks like the depth chart will be with our many WRs..(Smith or Stuckey at 3rd? etc..)
It's simple...Mark Cannizaro keeps eating all of the pre-press conference food. That's enough to make anyone bitter
