As you know, I co-host a 100% commercial-free, absolutely no one makes a dime from it, Sports Talk radio show on Long Island. Tomorrow night (6/15), we are having Jets beat writer Randy Lange from the Bergen Record on live with us again. Randy will be reporting from Hofstra after the 1st day of Minicamp.

As I've done in the past (and you've been nice enough to post some good ones), please post questions that you'd like us to ask Randy regarding the team. As you know by now, we do ask them and then pass along the audio (and a little transcript of discussion topics).

If you're in the listening area, he'll be on live with us from 9PM to 10PM on Nassau County's 90.3FM. We're not yet webcast, but I'll post the interview as soon as humanly possible to
    http://hosted.filefront.com/patchyfogg

You've helped to make Randy's appearances our most downloaded interviews ever, so thanks in advance. And, if you know any Jets fans in the listening area, please give them a head's up.

    As always, thanks.

Thanks Patchy. I enjoy your discussions with Randy.

    Here are my questions:

    1) What player from the 2005 team that is still on the roster is on the shakiest ground in terms of making the 2006 team?

    2) Who is the most unheralded player on the roster today that has the best shot of stunning the experts and making the 2006 team?

    1) Now that the draft is complete and we have 80 guys in camp, what aspect of the team seems to be the strongest? weakest? Can you get a sense this early who is making strides and who is not?
    2) Any feeling for who on the coaching staff is going to have a great impact on the players?
    3) how is Eric Barton's knee? Will he regain his former stature?
    4) What is really going on with the NT position? Dewayne? Pouha?

What does he know about the RB situation? Will Blaylock still be around when the season starts? Will it be RB by committee or will CM still get the most time?

What are the players thoughts right now?

Do they see this as a rebuilding year, or are their eyes still on the prize?

    Biggest question for me:

How are the players adapting to Eric Mangini and his coaching staff? Is there an undercurrent of positive change in the new arrangement that's visible yet?

How are the players adapting to the in your face style of Mangini after spenging the last few years in a laid back atmosphere?

Ask him if he saw any cheerleaders warming up on the sidelines.

who's on the hot seat: offense and defense.

Bryan Thomas: is he going to be the X-factor? And, how is he coming along so far? Is the "elephant" position that he is expected to play a difficult position to learn?

Coaching staff: most have never worked together before: how are they getting along with each other? Does anyone seem out of place?

    What about the RT position?
    How are the QBs looking?
    Is anybody out of shape?

I'd like to hear his honest opinion, as Jets fan first and beat writer second, on how the new FO is running things in general. Are things looking up, in his opinion?

Thanks for the good work, patchy!

I would ask what the defense looked like.... how much 3-4 vs. 4-3, and who got the most reps on D at the big question mark positions... NT and who played where at all the LB spots in both defensive sets. Can he project the D starters as it stands now? Especially interested in how B Thomas was used and how he lined up.

    Thanks, Patchy!

haven't heard anything from Vilma this offseason - what's he been doing? Is he part of that Miami contingent or has he been around Hempstead?
