Quick Faneca Question

    Hey, sorry to clog the boards but I had a question, how come the steelers didnt resign him, was it strictly money or did they have problems? Thanks

    He said he was leaving because the Steelers were not going to re-sign him with the money he wanted. Simple as that.

    Actually I've heard that he didn't get along with Tomlin. I don't know if thats because veterans and new/young coaches don't always mesh or because Tomlin just wanted to go in a new direction either with a new player or paying faneca less.

    The Steelers are not a big money team when it comes to both outside and thier own free agents.

    Faneca is hitting a big payday and the steelers are letting him walk rather than dump a boat load of cash on him, which is the same thing they do when almost all thier top talent hits the market. If they can not work out a long term deal they do not fight it. They replace through the draft.
