I'm a dreamer and I know it but here are my reasons in no particular order: Because I enjoy the sound of the hateful anti Jets sport media choking on their own venom. Because we can sing " Here come the clowns" whenever the Daily News media enters the press box. Because every win shoves a nail in the coffin of the expert opinions predicting season records, and proves over and over how little they really know. Because every win by the Jets angers BB more than anything else causing him to loose sleep, remain angry and stressed and his erectile dysfunction to flare Because it lights up the stadium with the smiles of every Jet fan proudly wearing the green and white colors. Because every win bring renewed hope of brighter days ahead. Because there are so many great Jet fans that deserve better. They have hoped and suffered long enough Because it highlights outstanding Jet players like Mangold, DeBrick, MoWilks and others that are trying desperately to bring a winning attitude to this team. Because as the Jets win, Rex can flip off the likes of Metha, Cimini , Schein and others that have victimized him and simply say " May be is time for you clowns to get out of NY and take the circus elsewhere" Because through thick and thin I love the Jets and wish every single player the best of seasons and every fan across the globe many happy days ahead. Go Jets
You ripped all the words out of my trachea, thanx for saying whats in our hearts... GOD, I LOVE THESE JETS!!!!!!!!!!!:up:
Of course I want to see them win because I am a fan but sometimes making the media pundits look stupid is a great feeling. Things I have read the past week about our Jets. Rex has been neutered. Yeah I know Rex has toned it down but that's because he has learnt from the past. The Jets will be the worst team in the league Really? Jacksonville, Browns, Buffalo, etc.... Rex has lost all control and input on the personal decisions Another already proven wrong topic the media ran with. I really have no beef with the Bucs or Revis but a win would be sweet.
Fuck yeah OP! We are brothers in arms! Circle the goddamn wagons and remember the Alamo! We are fans because we enjoy the game and we identify with this franchise, good or bad. I bleed green and I don't care what anybody says or writes about this team. I will support them until the last whistle! Kick some Tampa ASS!
I think it's time this place was more positive. We are 4 days out from the start of our season. We are undefeated! I will not read or post in another negative thread until our season starts. I feel entitled to this unbridled enthusiasm for the season to come. Go Jets and screw the haters!
Definitely! I think the Jets have a real chance to be good this year, and there's definitely a lot to be excited for! I'm really excited for the start of the season
I want them to win as I hate being depressed this early in the season plus I have invested a sizeable amount on them winning Sunday....I think the odds for the Jets are attractive against an average Bucs side
I'm all for wins for any and all reasons but here is my reason for being kind of a sunshiner in a darksider kind of way. Most people are expecting us to finish in the bottom three in the league this year. So one of two things will happen: 1) they will be right and we'll get a very, very good draft pick with franchise potential or 2) they will be proven wrong and look stupid. Either way we win, in a sense at least. Worst cast scenario (and, unfortunately, the most likely one IMO) is that we are below average but not bad enough to be a complete bottom feeder (like last season). Furthermore, Geno is bad but not bad enough that we can completely write him off but can consider it just because he's a rookie but we're also not completely sold that he's a franchise QB. So we'd be picking around 8th or 9th again with uncertainty on whether or not to pick a QB up in the 2014 draft and have to hitch ourselves to the Geno wagon whether it's a good idea long term or not.
If that did happen, and we got stuck around 8 - 11, I would do anything possible to get the BEST playmaker in that draft to help further along his growth.
Our focus next year needs to be at skilled offensive positions, whether that includes QB or not has yet to be seen. LB is obviously also a big need but other than that and maybe a late round safety I think we should be focusing almost all of our picks on the offensive side of the ball. I don't think we're getting Clowney, we won't be that bad IMO, so if we use our first rounder on a defensive player next year I won't be too happy.
I hope the Jets turn it around and play better than last year's team. I want to see those beat writers and "analysts" eat crow so badly.
I agree with everything except for what you said about Schein. He should not be bunched with Mehta and Cimini.
