Randy is gonna see Chad and be like "Yo homie, tell your coach to sign me next season! Remember the good ol' days Chadwick!"

POINT BEING: Would you want this guy on our team. After all, he did seem to "shut up" early on when he was transitioning to the Raiders. It was only when they were an embarrassment to the league did Moss start making excuses for his lack.

If you said "Yes:" What position would he likely deserve (see Mangini: earn spot) amongst the WRs, and if it wasn't our number 1, do you think he would have a problem that?

If you said "NO:" Eat MUD. No just kidding. What's your beef with Randy?

    peace

Usually it's AFTER the season that the annual "Should We Acquire Randy Moss?" thread pops up.

He has to grow up eventually, and his talent is undeniable.

I wouldnt complain if the Jets signed Randy Moss. I dont no though i mean Cotchery and Coles are a pretty good 1-2. Moss isnt as big of trouble maker as TO but i can see him causing some trouble in the Jets locker room. So like i said i wouldnt complain if the Jets signed him but i dont think i want him.

NO NEED! We have the third best receiving duo in the league right now... (Colts and Arizona) Why bring in a a-hole? plus - no way Mangenious goes this route - it's anti team...

Hey...it's more relevant because we're playing Oakland in Jersey this week. They played together in college. I don't see a problem with the FANS talking about the future.

It's the teams job to take it 'one week at a time' ... not mine.

Nope, because he hasn't showed me anything that shows he's still an elite receiver, or even a good one. He's not in a great situation but other receivers have done better than he has in bad spots.

This is a guy who always relied on his pure physical ability. He was never someone who ran great routes, or was really physical. Once he loses a step, and that might have happened already I don't see him adjusting too well.

I think he's pretty much as close to a complete opposite of a player that Mangini would want as you can get.

i'd rather sign a pepsi machine - we'd probably get more effort out of it.

    No way...not a Mangini guy.

    Team first, not me first!
is how we got this far in the first place.

Imagine a situation where.....Randy Moss is dying to get on a team thats winning and doing interesting things on offense(Jets). He's willing to take the salary of a "less than elite" WR, with the comfort that the Jets are a well coached team that is building up steam and is Quarterbacked by his old college QB, woops. Would it be that unreasonable to have a Coles Cotchery Moss trio? How many weapons did Kurt Warner have in his Championships...I digress.

Always nice to have a game breaker on the roster but he'll cost too much money. Mangini's system will model NE, draft and develop.

Why bring in another WR after Jerricho emerged as a solid #2 with potential to get better? We have Coles and Cotch right now, that shouldnt be changed IMO.

Can't he just replace McCareins? thats a BIG boost there.

Hey i'm not saying it's a likely scenario, but if the allure of the Jets was enough to get him to sign for a reasonable amount of money, would you want him?

    Dallas (Owens, Glenn)
    Cincinnati (Johnson, Housh)
    St. Louis (Holt, Bruce)
Oakland (Porter, Moss - at least in terms of talent, there's an aura of suck in Oakland)

I like Randy Moss and all, but his presence will probably be detrimental to the whole "smart, hard-working, tough football players" philosophy that Mangini is trying to put in place.

But Miller can remain on the team? How about Barlow? Okay, Barlow will probably be gone after this season...but, Miller has surely been more fiery on the field than Moss has. Who says Moss isn't smart, hard-working, tough? Okay that Q might open me up to some verbal lashing.....but, Moss isn't the distraction that T.O. is. Moss doesn't want all that attention.
