Yeah...but it was 6-6 for a while:smile: I am just defending the league the Yanks are in; if they switched to the NL my league allegiances would obviously change:smile:
Yes, but back and forth 6-6 games going into extra innings are better than both. NL baseball is just so boring for some reason, probably because I don't care about any of the teams.
yeah well ive been paying attention to the nl since the one game playoff between rockies and padres and let me tell you. if red sox make the world series you better pay attention to the Rockies they have some awesome players. freaking kaz matsui is playing like ichiro...holliday is the best player in the playoffs this year
Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz have both been better. Easily. In fact, this is a downright stupid statement. Ortiz- .615 AVG, .783 OBP, 1.154 SLG, 2 HR, 3 RBI Ramirez- .429 AVG, .652 OBP, 1.071 SLG, 3 HR, 10 RBI Holliday- .190 AVG, .227 OBP, .476 SLG, 2 HR, 3 RBI The case could actually be made that Holliday has been one of the WORST players in the playoffs so far.
If Joba played in the NL where he had to hit, he wouldn't act like a kid punk and throw two balls near Youkillis' head. The freakin Indian lets bugs bother him, what if he was going up against 95mph fastballs? American league baseball is pussy ball compared to the National League. The pitchers in the AL can't hit, cannot run bases because they might have to slide, pull a muscle or catch a cold, and need their rest between innings...so the American League adopted the DH so fat old hitters who can't field or run can stay in the game.
a) what the hell does this have to do with this thread at all? b) in the NL, relievers RARELY hit, almost never.
the pitchers in the NL cant hit either! thats why the league sucks....automatic out each time through the lineup
watching this until I leave to watch MNF. saw a guy with a mariners cap earlier. daisuke continues his awful pitching over the past few months, as I predicted. I predicted Indians-Rockies during the division series, so that's what I'm rooting for.
you could claim he was trying to protect his knee, but Ortiz is one lazy SOB. He often doesn't run things out, and right there he didn't even slide into 2nd to make it difficult for cabrera. he just turned and walked away.
Indians win and are now up 2-1 in the series! Please please please don't let the Red Sox win it all
and 2 more games in cleveland to come! some teenage girl (looked like) in the aftermath was holding up a sign saying "FANS GONE WILD"
There are a lot of Yankee fans in this thread. I saw Jack in the Yankees thread talking intellegent baseball. Too bad Yankees fans can't do the same...oh well..
Not saying it's you but certainly a few Sawx fans have been known to talk trash at the expense of the Skanks. We all know that nobody destroys Yankee threads like us Met fans. Wow I'm not surprised the Indians are up 2-1 but the Sox really let one get away the other night. That Gone Yay trade might end up costing you guys a WS title.
